  1. Thank you! I am not sure what was happening before, but things had become 'frozen' after reading a few posts, forcing me to shut down my computer 6 times this past week.

Now it looks better and hopefully the bugs are gone.

  2. :P Get yourself a copy of : Port Royal, Jamaica, by Michael Pawson and David Buisseret. You can probably get it from Amazon. com, where I got mine. Tells you everything you wanted to know and then some.

Great reading about the insights of everyday life, I highly recommend it for everyone!

  3. Ok, I'm really and landlubber (ducking everyone throwing cannonballs at me) as I'd rather be riding a horse. :P

Unfortunatly I don't have one anymore (actually that was in another lifetime in a galaxy far, far away), well I don't have ship either, so I guess all I can do is dream about it. ' :P But hey I'm a great 'wannabe'!!!

  4. I was concerened too when I got Gilligan, about how my cats would react.

At first they thought I had brought them dinner, but 'dinner' had other ideas.

Now Gilligan will actually chase and try and bite my cats if they bother him too much. B)

Be forewarned about buying parrots- they need LOTS of attention and GOOD care. They are also LOUD.

I had to snicker when I did some research on the Internet and books about Senegal parrots; supposedly they are great for apartments cuz they are quite! Don't believe a word of that nonsence. You can hear my little parrot all over the friggin' complex! B)

  5. Well I have a wonderful Senegal parrot named 'Gilligan' little buddy.

I'd put a picture of him here, but I can't figure out how - I tried the cut and paste method, tried a host website, but nothing works.

Anybody got any ideas how to post a picture here?

  6. Well I looked at all your great stuff, but try as I might couldn't do much with them. Perhaps you might consider letting the Admistrator here put them up with the others so they can just easily be clicked upon.

  7. Went to see it with Boats, Dawn Berry, and Tony Kopec. OH WOW! What a movie! The theater was packed full of pirate enthusiasts. Absouletly loved the movie. Definatly want to see it again and again.

Spotted Jerry (he's wearing the faded orange shirt, rolled up sleeves, bald head - there's a scene showing him throwing a crate overboard), didn't see Louie or Micheal , but Dawn spotted "Scully" who is the real captian of the Lady Washington (aw too bad they blew her up - well in the movie anyway, not in real life).

Dawn has coined the new term "Swishbuckling" for Johnny Depp.

The movie was everything I had hoped it would be, from beginning to end.

The morphing into the skeletons was great, but we were wondering how long can a full moon last? They seem to make it be like forever.

At the end when Elizabeth and Will were kissing, some girls in the audiance went "awwwww" and everybody laughed.

Unfortunatly we couldn't stay till the end of the credits, cuz Tony Kopec had to get to class at Palomar College. So we don't know what's at the end. Guess we'll just have to go and see it again! B)

  8. > Geesh, just cuz the movie prop stuff was in a movie doesn't

    make it valuable! <

Yes I know there are collectors out there that want this stuff, but come on, value is only what one considers it is.

Doesn't mean a way to waste your money.

  9. I'm posting this here for the rest of you to see.

Boats and I looked over the stuff and guffawed a lot! Good greif, we've

got better stuff in our treasure chests then what's being sold for

mucho bucks! Most of the stuff can be gotten at any craft

store(package of gems, $1.99) worth it's weight! Gee go get some lava

rocks off your barbeque and paint them gold...get some Xmas beads for

color really cheap at the holiday times for a couple of bucks. I could

go on and on about how disgusted I was when seeing what was offered

and the outrageous prices that were being offered by those wanting to

buy them. Geesh, just cuz the movie prop stuff was in a movie doesn't

make it valuable! (Hmmmm, maybe I could get 5 grand for my trunk? NOT!)

And any decent thrift store can hold far more better treasures than

what is offered! Truly a case of Piracy at it's worst.

My suggestion, SAVE YOUR MONEY for more worthwhile things.

But it is a great toy I'd love to have! :)
