  1. well the weave is never 'straight'.
  2. They come and they go. It's the same with every site on the Internet. Some come back for a while, others, never. I've got sites like that where I use to have an interest and now don't so I just don't go there anymore. For whatever reason, I love this site and that's why I've stayed with it.
  3. A bit P.O.ed. Someone here at the Pub who has my personal email and was sending me all kind of 'stupid' things....well now the spammers have it too. SOOOOO, I will be changing my personal email ....and no the person at fault won't be getting it. Sorry man, but you screwed up.
  4. I have a small rib eye roast I'm going to cook up this evening, plus some Challah bread (Jewish bread), some type of potatoes, not sure what yet, salad and mis. stuff.
  5. looked pretty good when I was sixteen....
  6. Took my parrot Gilligan over to get his claws filed down yesterday. The guy says to me, "Isn't your husband the pirate guy?"
  7. I have those rubber duckies...I bought a set of three (where's the fourth one? I don't have the one with the red scarf and eye patch) from the NQG booth at Escondido faire back in Oct.
  8. I too agree Patrick....but I also know Dick's side of it too. He's had to gatelist over a thousand people which is just unheard of for any event these days. He's also lost a ton of money at Ojai in the past and may be trying to make up for it (just guessing here), or he might end up moving the event to Escondido, which I have heard through a direct 'pipeline' he's considered.... which would be fine with me (I'm seven minutes away from the site), but no black powder/cannons due to the residents living in the area around the park, and there's certainly no lake for a boat. At the same time, I know of at least 4 groups (one I formerly was a member of) who do absolutely nothing at events except sit on their arses (no Tales of the Seven Seas, New Providence, and Pirates of Treasure Cove are just fine when it comes to entertaining the public at the Ojai events). So it remains to be see what will happen....
  9. Listen up all participants of this event. According to Gold Coast Productions who put on this event it will be TWO WEEKENDS in Sept. of 2007 Gold Coast Productions I think this may be Dick Wixon's way of trying to cull out groups who 'don't do anything' . Unfortunately, it may also bring the hatchet down on the good groups. Many come from well out of the area and some even out of state...I know I don't think I can pull a two weekender out from the distance I live...it's a solid 4 hour drive for me, and I know those coming from the San Francisco area and beyond drive hours longer. It will remain to be seen what becomes of this situation....
  10. ROTFLMAF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Aye Tales of the Seven Seas, great people! NOW I recognize you! Geeze next Pirate Ojai we have to get together!
  12. Thank you so much Kass for that link! It's darn hard to find any kind of cotton velveteen and such at Jo-Ann's here in the San Diego area- or at any other fabric store here for that matter. I like the color offerings in the 'wave' type velveteen, but I don't like the wave and it's not 'period' either.
  13. I never heard of red tongues either....maybe it's a vampire thing?
  14. Since when are pirates pretty?
