  1. The title says it all. Lets see them! Post you pics and tell your stories for all that didnt get to make it this year and for those that were spread out and didnt catch everything.

Here is the group shot that I plundered from Pearl's facebook.

I will start processing my pics tom and start posting them. I have quite a few good ones of the cannon crew at work and the mehem afterwards. Not to mention some priceless pics and video from Zach's Pub.

  2. I am heading to Fort Zachary Taylor this friday and I needed something to wear on my side. I wanted to make something subtle and sweet. I left the edge blunt on this for the time being. If I still have this sword when I return, I plan to grind more off the edge making it lighter and adding a sharp edge to it.

  3. Here is a look at two prototypes of a new fencing line. We have made fencing swords for awhile, but are going full tilt in this direction for 2012. We have a big batch of these in the works and they are ready to be ordered now with a delivery date of 7-10 days from the order.

So far we have already made a few design changes to this set. their pommel will be swaped out for a scaled down version. The knucklebow has also been beefed up.

This set is meant to be a entry level pair. We will of course continue making our full hilted rapiers, but wanted to be able to offer a simple set that still functions well and looks pretty good.

You can upgrade these swords with any of our upgrade options. Faceted pommels, fancier grips etc...

Please feel free to inquire about special bulk order discounts as we are willing to make the prices better the more you buy.

These come standard with epee blades but can be swaped out for a schalger blade for an additional fee.

I should also say that the center section of the rapier can be swaped out for any of our styles. This one pictured is our "double down" center section.

The standard wood is hickory with a light oil.

    Thanks for looking!

  5. How expensive would it run for say a scabbard for a long john silver, I have a leather guy <-- wow that sounds wrong, lol but we're good buddies, and I get most of my stuff from him. I just want to see how expensive it is in comparison to get the package deal from you guys... just so I know my options.

Drop John@baltimoreknife.com a line and let him know what blade length you have and what style of hanging. Set up for a frog or a belt loop.

  6. mitchellsmilitiaheader1b.jpg

We are now offering some militia grade scabbards and some suspension options all made in house by our own John Mitchell. So far we are only doing stitched up leather scabbards. We have dozens in stock, but we also offer a fast 3-4 day turn around on any custom orders. There are many different hanging options and stitch options. Just email John@baltimoreknife.com and he will answer any questions and go over all of the options.

  7. :) Last one the Capt made me was delivered about 5 mins before I went on the battle field! Perfect timing indeed! I get so many compliments on my clothing. People staring at my stitches. Love it! I think I have enough pics to work from for your court sword Dad. I plan to have it by PIP.

Thanks for the love on the sword.

  8. This is a smallsword that we just made yesterday for our dealer at the Ohio Ren Fest. This is also a good example of an upgraded stock item from us as featured in our new "Charm City" line(http://imakeswords.c...ityupgrades.htm). This is based off of our short rapier blade and our basic smallsword hilt and plate.

  11. I got a sneak viewing of the movie last night. It was good. better then 2 and 3. It drug on a little long and they butchered Blackbeard...Ian McShane did fine but they should have stayed away from the historical pirate...Even the flag was wrong.

All in all the movie was fun. Go see it. Have a blast. IMHO the first 20 mins in London were the best.

I for one am already looking for a Mermaid to call my own!

  12. I made this upgraded basket this weel. It is based off of our standard basket #1 pattern. The blade is similar to most of our backsword blades but with a slightly curved 33.5" blade. This is a big sword that moves quite swiftly and would be a dream to drill with.

I have a ton more basket pictures to get uploaded on the site and a few special ones so check back often.

    Questions and comments welcome.

  13. This is a hunting falchion that I recently made. I was inspired by a few different historical hunt swords and falchions and this is my interpretation of a logical merge.

Purpleheart handle, steel hilt and double false edged blade with fileworked spine.

Blade is based off a 3/16" blank and is quite rigid.
