  1. Red Handed Jill

    You know Skip Henderson!!

I put on a charity boat show every year and he has been the featured entertainment!

I booked him for October 2 & 3. That man knows more songs, and he welcomes others to join in!

  2. Yer too bloody harsh mat!

Good show, good people. The weakness is in the editing perchance.

Now ye brought up something! We need a pyrate chalenge. to see who is the king-o-the-pyrates!

Events could be rapier duel, target shooting with flint locks. Competing big gun teams. The wet bodice contest and a contest to see who could drink the most rum without dieing!

    Cheers

  3. I have the honour of being a founding member of the group soooo many years back. It is nice to see that they are still around.

The group is well armed and trained to handle the big guns.

I hope they could come out and play with ya.

    Cheers

  4. Will it is time to bight the bullet and get a swival gun. I am looking for one that would fit in the fist half of the 18th century. I also need a deck gun.

The Hawaian Chiftian will be moving to my dock in July. I am hoping to mount a small shore battery.

Is there a web site for gun makers.

  5. A prize indeed, Coastee! Damn yer eye!

She be me own piratical ladder to success, I started with a pirogue, from her I capture a sloop and I keep climbing till glory or the gallows!

I will have the rigging completed by the end of the month.

The vessel will be used for two groups. The Bay Privateers is a mid 18th century colonial group. Pretty high standards for clothing BUT a welcoming group of very experienced redactors.

She will also be used by a budding 1745 Highland group

  6. Hi Red.

What size Long Boat. I think a boat like mine needs to be lofted.

Wooden boat magazine has plans for smaller boats. THese could be built with marine ply. There are some good stitch and glue plans out there.

    Good luck

  7. What does Ceberus mean?

I like the use of "Long" in the name. Lang Maggie rings well.

By the way, I will be launching my second long boat next month, she is two feet shorter and very heavy. She is gaft rigged.

So I do not have a tall ship but I will have two vessels that are very authentic for our time period. A set of my oars were used in POC If anyone wants to join us, please let me know. Our clothing and equiptment standards are pretty ridgid BUT the people are easy going. We are portraying mariners in the first half of the 18th centruy.

    Cheers

  8. Aye Nyre.

Don't have time to be telling yer Harbor Master no facts. I be a harbor Master me self and I don't have the time to be telling no tails.

I got me documents all signed and the fine vessel can not be sold but though me!

I'll soon be signing me name Mr. MacGraw. esq. when I sells the H.C and gets me prize money!

  9. I do not have me own tall ship BUT I have the finest long boat on San Francisco Bay. She is 22 ' (+-) I can rig her as a ketch or a schooner with lug sails. She has ten rowing stations BUT it would be too crowed so we have found out that six oarsman work best. A swivell gun is next.

She is freshly oiled/tarred and I am painting her oars.

Now me jolly boys, She needs a name. I want something Irish or Scot.

    Any ideas?
