  1. The Raging Queen would be a good one One a related note I noticed that there is a gay pirate crew here in Dallas. Not my scene but if any members lean that way they can do a search for yahoo groups, pirates+dallas they should find it pretty easy. -CS
  2. That's a load of bull. I am required to wear an eyepatch by advice of my doctor, and let me assure you, it is nothing you'd ever want to go to battle with voluntatrily. After a few days, you lose every sense of depth perception and this sense is vital for any hand- to hand or artillery action. Give it a try yourself. Wear an eyepatch for a few days and try to perform even the simplest tasks like eating in a restaurant (i.e. at a table with whose dimensions you are not accustomed to). But you'd better not be driving with that eyepatch, or things would get real nasty. Bowie Vision I had to wear an eyepatch for a while. When I took it off at night sometimes I'd have double vision for a while until my eyes got use to working together again. I have been in combat situations where I had to enter a dark building from bright sunlight. In those cases I would just tightly close my right eye for a bit so that I would have at least one pupil dilated. -CS

  5. Politics? Next we'll have people talkin' 'bout their poxed stamp collections or their personal realationships with JC. Seems like there be plenty of common lubber forums fer that sort of mundane talk. -CS
  6. Speaking of cartoons and PIRATES! My foster daughter used to love Peter Pan and the Pirates I always got a kick out of it because Captain Hook was voiced by Tim Curry. -CS
  7. If someone were itchin' to break Federal law , I'd reccomend distilling mead. You get a lot less impurities and a smoother beverage that's ready to drink with no ageing. In theory you could make such a bevearge with a stovetop still made from a pressure cooker. You should avoid a gas stove since ethanol fumes are somewhat flamable (not a problem with outdoor stills) -CS
  8. My 1979 Jeep CJ5 is named Zena. My primary car is always named Zena. When I own a 2nd car it is always named Carla. -CS

  11. Actually I'm afraid that any home distilling for human consumption is illegal in the United States. You can apply for a permit from the BATF for an experimental still for making fuel, but you'll have to promise not to drink any of it -CS
  12. Short & Sweet I like my wenches to be travel sized. My idea of the perfect woman is a doxie-spinner that drinks rhum like a fish, owns her own brace of doglocks, and wears her eye patch to bed -CS
