what we have done in the past.....is to have some of the wounded...tended to before a hanging.. ..or soldiers tended to their wounds... ...immediatly after the battle scenarios.... for example....lots of someones get shot or run thru in the battle. ..survivors are taken to a tent or fly...where the good doctor then proceeds to .. ..well whatever....pull lead from wounds.. .sew up gashes... .apply leaches to remove toxins from the lead.. ..blahblahblah...you got the stuff you tell us what you can do...then there can be a big show to bring the audience in to you after the actual scenario is done....kinda of a continuation if ya will...a live demo of the skills of the doctors then..... use of fresh chicken breasts strapped to body....bullet underneath....then you can rip open shirt....expose the flesh(chicken)...take a real sharp knife...slice flesh(chicken)...pull out flesh and blood(staged and chicken flesh)...till you finally pull out the lead shot from wound....then you can even use real needle and thread to sew em back up...including the shirt ifn ya like.. .audience loves it....... whats nice about this type of continueation...is that it dosent have to be worked into any scenario.....and can be plugged in anywhere...begining middle or end...tho i dont recomend getting it in the end.....oh nevermind

ok...just a thought here.....so no shootin.... there are plenty of refferences of what common sailors wore(law abidin) there are plenty of references about pyrate tactics....the one that catches my eye is...tryin to scare them into submission...hence hoistin the pyrate colors an such....... so...my question is....in the vain of tryin to look "scary enough to force a surrender"...would the common sailor purposly "dress like a pyrate"...as to seem more vicious and scary?.... modern day example....bouncers...they all look the same...big bad and mean...like they could kick yer arse......but do ya know if they can really fight or not???,,,,me either...to scared to try them.... and thats kinda my point..... if at sea...about to engage another ship...would a "pyrate"...dress the part....to put the fear of GOD into the other ship????? any ideas on this one?????

sorry...thought some of these were obvious.....original question to the HANGER VS BANGER ISSUE...was what was allowed on the feild battle scenarios.....not what i have or would like to have in my collection....2 completely different questions far a groupings/catagories of swords....... Hangers A. real 1.mint a.old b. not so old c. new d. newish 2. not so mint a.old b.not so old c.new d.newish 3.rusty beyond belief antique 4.not so rusty old antique B. Fake(replica) 1.good 2.bad 3.ugly BANGERS all fake 1.good quality 2.poor quality 3. thick thinned 4.blah blah blah Hangers vs Bangers issue has more to "what you plann on doin with it now ya got one"....than getiin one in the first place..... they all have a place....and some places not welcomed true authentic swords are not welcomed in stage fighting...but are damn cool bagers replicas...are not viewed upon high;ly by the historical collector blah blah blah..... so goin back to what this threads is about...... whatcha got?
-

am i going MADDDD???....or did i just hear a bunch of PYRATES discussing FOLLOWING the RULES????? thats what i thought being a "PYRATE" was all about..."FREE-TRADE" i know at most events ive been to....only weapons that have an "interior" or "closed" firring mechanism" would have to follow weapon laws flintys and even cap and ball weapons (anything without a cartridge) would go under "replicas" and therefore did not follow the same guidelines....in modern terms...liike i was told at the border crossing into canada...when asked if i had any weapons...."NO...I Mean REAL weapons" ifn ya ask nicely...they should let ya sell yer wares
-
yeahyeahyeah.....if i'm not AT the bottom of the list...then i am NOT on the listr atoll....
