Woo! Wonderful report! I have yet to really give mine, then again it's not as if I had a whole lot to say. *chuckle* And the Masquerade Brain Mush was...well..interesting! I'd have to mull through it to really get out some good noise.

Actually, I did end up finding her in one of the many costuming lists I'm on! :) Wow. It's Friday and I still feel extremely lazy. Ahwell...could be worse. An' it looks as if I'll be actually seein' the waters of the Bay again here soon. Lucky Penny's been gone too long from a ship deck...

If you could, I'd be really appreciative :) I actually tried to see if she had a booth or something, and for the life of me, I couldnt figure out how! My mind was considerable bits of mush on Sunday though, so even remembering my camera on that last day was beyond me. Did I mention that I couldn't go back to change to Lucius because the hotel had problems with our door keys? Apparently the battery on the door was going out...so we spent far too much time and aggravation trying to even get into the room.... Charity: It's a coat :) There's more underneath, but no one saw it because it would have taken at least fifteen to twenty seconds to unbutton that thing, and as short of a time as we had, it just wouldn't have worked. And yes, it was quite warm. In fact, at one point after my presentation, I sat on the floor with everything but my bloomers hiked to my knees and my hat off. It looked ridiculously silly, but at least I didn't overheat. By the by..more pictures went up late last night. This was for a scheduled photoshoot that I did on Sunday.. Lucky Penny can be a LADY???

Gah...I missed far too much this weekend. But as I mentioned elsewhere, between the prep for the Masquerade and general wandering aimless mayhem, I wore myself out pretty fast. However, I made up for it by touring the HMS Surprise because she was literally sitting in spitting distance of my hotel. The Star of India was hiding her to where I didn't know she was there until we walked over to her. They don't call her the Surprise for nothing, I guess. BTW: I am guessing my entry for the Masquerade was obvious?

I was there, but sadly I was spread to the seven winds when I wasn't trying to get things ready for the Masquerade. The weekend was a blur, I admit, not to mention the forgetting of lists of where booths were was absolutely stupid of me.

I get in sometime on Thursday. I didn't plan this as well as I should have, and I didn't take into consideration the idea of Preview Night at all. Ideally, I'll be there as early as I can Thursday....and will be dawdling until early Monday morning. Desert Pyrate: I'll do what I can...I'd like some decent pictures of myself in that outfit as well!

*chuckle* Well, if Jack can't sniff 'm out, I'm not sure anyone can. Blighter's got a good nose on him, he does! Alas, things conspired 'gainst me to go to the Ren faire today, so I think I shall be sewin' away. It's an added day to the schedule, so I'll be takin' advantage of it!!!!

As an aside: Due to my Masquerade photo shoot being at noon, I will likely not be Lucius until later Sunday. However, it seems that Friday night I haven't found a real theme to get into yet, and I will eventually get tired of running around as Dawn, so he might come out Friday night a bit as well. We'll see!

Aye, post pictures. Ill stick em up in the costume shop. :) Would ye still say that if it wasn' a piratical thing that's been keeping me slaved to my machine? I can't put up much in the lines of pictures until after the convention, but I'll be sure to post them up once the convention is over, as at that point I'll be wanting to show off my little pieces of torture.

Try try try! The more cheers I hear, the better. I need all the morale boost I can get. Now...hopefully I'll be findable! I will only tell you that as much as I SHOULD be in a group, I won't be. Sunday. As soon as I am done with the photo shoot that I plan to do in said Masquerade costume in the morning....Once I'm done with that (and any subsequent picture stops I get yanked into), I'll run back to my hotel, don my Malfoy clothes and make my way to sneer at the Muggles.

I'll be there! Preparing for the Masquerade is the reason nobody's seen me 'round of late... Shame on me. But anyway! I'll be in a variety of costumes over the weekend, depending on my mood and whim. For sure I'll be bring my temporary Linsner's Dawn outfit, Lucius Malfoy (complete with very spiffy new cane), my piraticals, and if all goes well, my "Lara Goth: Doom Raider" parody bit. Because I'm quite silly that way. Did we mention the Masquerade? Did we mention if you don't know what it is already, I'm not telling? :) Though if ye 'ave good eyes, I won't be hard to spot.

*LOL* Eh, I've been meanin' to do this for days now. Don' think it be because ye were talkin' to me in PMs! I jus' kept gettin' yanked away..an' the PMs finally made me go "All right, missy, tell 'em what's up before they send a press gang after ye!"

Eh, rank isn' a big thing with me anyway. In fact, oddly 'nough, I still find it fine an' dandy that I still be at least a Captain!

I want to. However, it's looking like I will be skipping Ojai for a ship that sails far more rarely into close waters that we'll be calling "Blackmore's Night". There's been no hope of anything closer than Chicago for them to tour presently, and I've been waiting nearly three years for the chance to see them perform live. My only alternative would be to go overseas, and I can't afford that. Of course, there is one song that I know darn well if they play it, I'll be thinkin' of you all. Wait..I don't need a song for that. *pats rum in the flask!*

No, I didn't fall over the side of the Royaliste when no one was looking. No, the ground didn't open up and swallow me whole (though who knows who needs recruits, an' I'm told I'm a wee devil when I wish to be..). No, Lucky Penny isn't dead. I just got commandeered by my sewing machine again. Everyone say "Now how wasn' I surprised!" The other thing that makes it a pain as well..for some reason there is somethin' on th' board (the ads I'm thinking, but it's hard to say) that doesn't let the board load when I am at work. Therefore, the time when I would be most likely to be proddin' at th' board, I can't because it won't load for me. Therefore, I can't even think of lookin' at things until I'm home. An' when I get home...er..yah! Bu th' short an' long is that ye 'aven't been forgotten. I'm jus' buried in stuff...between ComicCon preparations, reorganizing my personal life (it's finally nice and settled...yay!), and the impending arrival of the Novato Renaissance faire (anyone who can spot me should be given a cookie, an' no, mates, it won' be as easy as lookin' for a pirate either!)... Er..yah. I'll try t' behave an' keep up more...quit bein' a bad pirate an' all. Lucky'll quiet herself now, and sink in her corner. Sewing machine? Check. Rum? Check. Sanity? At the door... Arr.

As far as I know, m'supposed to go to Southern this coming weekend, but there are still plans in th' works... Not many here have seen Penny in a wench's wears before. Pheeer.

She be a tough one, though, an' if I recall correctly, her unfortunate situation put her in the best light for seein' that dolphin/seal/whatever it was that greeted us as we were sailin' into Alameda... I think it was salutin' 'er, if ye ask me...

Yes it was!! Wonderful turnout, lots of people met and company enjoyed. Changed my plans for staying over as well (thank ya, Carrie, for draggin' me bum home!) but mostly because I'd spent all day very cold, and I knew well it would be no better come morning on the return trip back to Sausalito. I have some pictures that were taken that I'll try to post later today. I'm in the middle of trying to clean up my apartment from my clothing indecision yesterday (clothes flew all over the place, to say the least!). Maintaining my apartment is important currently, my housewarming party's next week!
