Alright, I sold the Turners in Ojai so I have these left. I'll give it about a week then I'll donate them to our local theatre. Price is now $125.00 obo unless you're a good haggler which I'm ready to start dealing. These were worn twice and we'll work out the shipping...If you're into boots, these are very well made with very thick leather.

I'm not understanding this thread. Why is it in Twill. I read Twill to learn about improving myself, not to learn about Hawkyns dislikes of a certain group he is obviously jealous of. Can we move this thread to another area. Say the "pirate crews" area?

Honestly, even being the cannon newbie that I am, this video scared me. The fact that there is someone like this out there in a neighborhood filled with kids and such. How much powder is the man going stop at? That cannon is gonna explode under extreme pressure and kill someone and then I won't be able to have a cannon because of idiots like this.

This guy should open a cannon safety school..I don't know for sure but that cannon has to have like a 3/4 inch bore and he has 2 ounces of powder rammed down this thing...

Can't wait to fire some powder through em.. these are more muller style and we Still have work to do on them, elevation quoin, Iron treads, cheek rings will be brass etc etc. I ordered a book from privateer media on building naval artillery and such. Bronze trunion caps and the J bolts will go through of course and so fourth.. although they are a little naked, we promise they will be looking sexy in no time!!

Ojai was awsome.. It was nice to See Tales again. Ransom, Chainshot, Redhanded Jill and Jack, Iron Bess, Jacky Tar. I got to meet D man and Pirate Pete. The Double cross was once again very welcoming and we love those guys, always a pleasure. so lets recap shall we?
The double cross informed us about drilling vent holes with a hand drill and after about 3 seconds we decided to listen to them considering they were going to school us on cannon drills and safe firing. So sad to say but happy to have my hands and arms, we didn't fire our new cannons and are in the process of having them drilled correctly.
Got to kidnapp Ransom. For a minute I thought Chainshot was going to sell her flask on E bay and let us keep her. But he came, without any back up, we should have held him and Red handed jill for ransom, but they were let go for five gold coins. I did get spanked by Jill but I liked it so there.
I got to see a Viking and an Airship pirate (or was he a steam punk?) fight over who should be at the Pirate faire and who shouldn't. The Viking said Airship pirates are stupid and it's a Pirate faire and he doesn't belong there and the Airship pirate said at least the name pirate is in his title and the viking is way off timeline. I butted in and told them that it doesn't really matter because there are 500 vampires 400 fairies and at least 2 people dressed in furry costumes, one as a wolf and the other as a hairy football. There were 200 knights, 5 kings, a court jester and some lady dressed like a Spartan. 4 guys running around with coconuts like Monty Python holy grail and everyone else was in a kilt and wearing fur.. They both agreed they were stupid and went on they're way.
I had a guy tell me when I was in line for ice cream that he couldn't understand why us people dress the way we did. I asked if he was talking to me and he said I looked like a sailor not a pirate. He informed me of my lack of black and I had no skulls upon me. This is a true story I swear. I told him how rude it is to say something like that to another person and that after I eat my ice cream I was going to beat him till he understood. He apologized and asked why I was dressed as a sailor at a pirate fair. I told him to piss off and he did. Weird.
The Rum Runners once again denied me entrance to the Rum runner camp so I'm giving up on ever getting to go inside and look out.
Tony Swatton the famous Pirate movie blade maker/blacksmith punked me and didn't say hello back, so I'm no longer buying his swords and his status has been changed to stupid horse face.
Our camp was fun but a little far away from the action, but we loved being down by the water. My back hurts from sleeping in the boat and there is a cool ranch dorito bag or soda can in every pic we took of the camp...
All in all it was the greatest weekend ever and we had a great time seeing friends and enjoying a bit of rugged camping and can't wait till next year..If you have read to here, I'm proud of you and thanks in advance.

I called hern and asked why our new carronades had no ring. I was told the 3/4 scale is not casted with the ring just the half scale and full scale. I was a little ticked, but what do you do..

I'm with the Kern County Pyrate Guild/Rack and Ruin out of Bakersfield. We'll have a camp again this year at Ojai down by the water. Our camp always has a boat in it..so just look for the sprit sail sticking up..

If you look to the left there you will see my rank as plunderer...yes it's true, i'm no longer a first mate and have been promoted here on the Pub. I promise this time, my promotion will not go to my head. I plan on keeping myself grounded. So with that, I would thank all the little people whom have helped me this far azlong. I know, i know, all the first mates are wishing they could be in my shoes right now, but like verything in life, you have to earn it. So thank you and if any of the lower ranked sailors out there need any guidence from a "plunderer" please feel free to just ask....I'll only make you get my rum every so often and wash my dirty slops. Please don't think of me as above you, think of me as more successful than you.. Any pirates/sailors reading this who are above me in rank, please disregard everything you just read, nothing to see here.
