  2. Oi! I know I promased last year and couldn't make it... So a promase is a promase!! I'll be there in May to make good on me word!!! Get ready for madness and photo ops!!
  3. I found large spoon in my bag I got from Mikey...since I already have on , I think it's pewter?? Probably yours Donna?? I'm also still missing a mucket bowl thingy with hole to hang it on sh-tuff....Anyone??
  4. You're right!! That's even worse!! They're actually "Pretty" Green Caterpillars that attacked Mad Dog!!! Oh this gets better all the time!!! Stupid stupid Mad Dog.... Tee hee hee!!
  5. wow brother... you hit some really good points!! Ok how about these: 1: you might have a ghost encounter in the fort 2. you might get eaten by sharks in the water or caterpillars on the land! 3. with the success of the sunday battle, anything that comes next will only get better!! 4. you get to enjoy weather that can be an adventure itself! To go from crazy typhoon winds and sideways falling rain, to perfect summer weather!! 5. Sure I love spending time with my family at home... But I will also agree that this is better than Christmas! Because anything can happen! And you're there with the very best of people!!
  6. Hate to say it... But MD isn't kidding around! Just for kicks, here's the little sucker that got him! http://www.floridanature.org/species.asp?species=Acharia_stimulea http://insects.suite101.com/article.cfm/saddleback_caterpillar Its called a Saddleback caterpillar or moth
  7. Oh man.. that looks like a great time!! Truthfully that is the kind of raid that should be done at PIP and IN the fort!!! Yes IN the fort!! I mean it's kinda a waste to have the fort for nothing..... Grrrrr! Ok I'm gogni to put in for the time off. but it might be a PIP or Searles thingy??? I'll try though!! pettycoat trousers are just baggy slops with a band at the calves with a tie??? Any photo refrences and such??
  8. I would also like to thank Donna and Mark for helping some of us by carting our gear across the states, just so we wouldn't have to ship everything via mail! And to think they fit everything in a minicooper!! Well next year, ol' Rats and the boys might just bring the trailblazer and a trailer. That way you can send yer stuff with us and have room in the Cooper?? Again, thanks for everything!!
  9. I doubt I can make this one... but I will put in the request and see if I get lucky. I think it'll come down to a choice between the time for PIP and the time for the raid...
  10. Oh man! More pics please!! I'tll be tough to get the time off since it's scheduled for weekend duty, but I'm going to give it a shot!! More pics more pics!! Rats dear, you would be most welcome here. Essentially, lose the tricorn and all is good garb wise (we're going 1660ish here). This event will be held the 5th and 6th of March in St Augustine. It is really a phenomenal event because battle wise, you will be literally running through the streets of St Augustine and firing. Here's a picture I took from last year, but there are many more in this facebook link. searle's raid pic Usually set up is Friday and break down is Sunday. If you want to come in earlier or stay later, there are plenty of us with extra space to take you in for a couple days. Just lemme know. If you would like to be there, Sgt Johnson is the person to contact. Or you can let me know and I will make sure he knows you're coming. As for a website...they're working on it....:) Hope that helps!
  11. Aye! Then he could sneak about like "The Silent Wind Of Doom"...Woosh!!
  12. Yeah.... that was kinda creepy to even be part of that and then see the pics of what we did.... Historical? yes. But still very creepy and wrong! Now hanging Mad Dog or Matty Bottles... No prob! Kinda felt bad about stringing up 12 Pound Richard... But I got over it... To hear Kip say tha Sunday's battle was one of the best he had ever seen. Also during the artillery barrage, to see Mary Diamond, Mr. Cross and the Viceroy calmly strolling past the cannons as they fired. Not a cre in the world and enjoying the show.... Perfectly pompous! Even Mr. Cross with a tray was putting on airs! Perfect characters you guys! You couldn't have done better... especially while Brian and I were cowering under, er I mean guarding a cannon!
  13. Then there's the pic of Rats attacking jess... then ...who's next!!???
  14. Here check out this dk red! It's perfect!! Even when it fades it'll be perfect!! http://www.woolrichfabrics.com/mysql/detail.asp?id=17 good stuff!!!
  15. This must be a covert operation...because I'm not seeing anything on said venture!! Gee I would love to hear more about this and even check to see if a Rat like me ownself might be able to attend.... Hint hint hint!! anyone got the skinny on this event??/ Perhaps a website... maybe you can just buy me a drink and I'll stay in the freezing tundra and.... well freeze.... Pout pout Grrrr!
  16. You're right there mate! What folks might not understand is that though we sometimes have an idea or two for future pics and prople in mind for storylines or vignettes, sometimes shoots happen totally without warning and dependant upon where we are and who we have... For instance, the shoot with our dear Mr. Cross and the hanging of the rest of us was conducted on the way back to the car after we ate dinner.... Litterally at the drop of a hat!! In truth some of the most fun we have ( speaking for myself atleast)is the improv photo ops. Now my goal is to pick up a higher end video camera and finally film some of the scrips and short vignettes I've been planning. Which is another reason I really want to hit Black beard next year!! If nothing else for the purpose of scouting locations and making the necessary contacts!! But there's always room for everyone, it's just that sometimes there is not prewarning. Not to mention that we usually don't have any spare time to begin with!!
  17. Cool... Wendy for short!!
  18. Ah yes! Not like Ol' Rats never thought O' that...But grabbing the ladies is what got me into trouble to begin with!! But if you arrr going to Black beard, we always could use another shooter for the horde of camera whores weve become. Here's to you darlin!! You shoulda grabbed me :) I'm always up for good photo ops. We've always got next year. (and Virginia) My lens (thank god) is ok. I think I had a mini heart attack when I did that. lol Oh and Johnny got some KILLER footage. We are working on fixing his computer as we speak (had to put in a new power supply), but we will definitely put something together. :):):) Hugs & Rum
  19. BTW: you shoulda tagged along for our photo ops. It woulda beennice to have more folks with an eye for pics. In stead me and the Dogge have to swap the camera back an forth and therefore rarely get to be in the same pic. Did your fella get any good video from the Sunday battle???
  20. AH Miss Morgan!! I was hoping you would chime in!! How's yer lense??? I almost cried when she took the spill!! I can't wait to see what you got!!
  21. I think it was Friday night a small contigent of brave souls decided to check out some of the dark recesses of the fort.... Led by the infamous Dog Of The Maddening Kind, we lurked by lantern lite through a couple of the known hot spots....As we finished and began heading home, we walked to an area and right next to our group, I seemed to walk through a cold spot that might simply have been a combination of "cold air and fart" since it was right next to Mad Dog. Incidentally that next morning was when he woke up with the bite marks on his neck!!!
  22. Next year we should go with temporary tattoos!! And i don't want to know where folks will be putting them!!!!!!!
  23. See! That's what others have said! Maybe next time we need to set up a reseervation and everyonoe go have a good meal and see the frenzy!! It was only about 45 minutes from PIP I think, but it was a perfect meal and welcome to the keys?? It counts. It was on the PIP trip. Next time, just let me know so I can see the feeding frenzy!!!
  24. Though not exactly PIP related.. I would have driven to Keywest just to see the fish feeding and see the shark frenzy at the fish factory!!
  25. Between a catfight and an idiot falling down the stairs....Can't wait to see em!!! As always, big hugs at you sweet Kate!
