^ Different. I'd do it on a beach this time, barefoot, with tropical flowers in my hair... < Seeing my parents tomorrow to celebrate their 66th wedding anniversary. (Still trying to think of a gift for them.) V Do you love or loathe shopping?
  10. Do you play your pan flute to the sea nymphs?
  11. A ren-faire band called The Lost Boys, who've nicely melded the sea shanty "Haul Away Joe" with Queen's "We Will Rock You":

^ Oh, off-season, definitely. The fewer other people around, the happier I am! < I'm actually quite an introvert by nature (hmm... maybe 'misanthrope' is more accurate) ... but my family doesn't tolerate 'retiring' personalities very well, so I've had to learn to make the effort to compensate, to avoid being harrassed for being too stand-offish. As a result, most people who meet me in social situations assume I'm naturally 'gregarious' ... which actually pisses me off a bit. V Do you ever feel you have to wear a 'mask'? [The Q is intended metaphorically, but if you want to take it literally, that could be interesting too...]
  15. "It's only blood from broken hearts that writes the words to every song." ~~ Pete Doherty ~ a sentiment with which my singing teacher concurs.
  16. Babyshambles, "I Love You, but You're Green" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82HY9QWbRgU "... to the annoyance of my imaginary lover..."
  17. Omelette with mock-lobster surimi and Lappi cheese, and a side serving of mango slices. Not much, yet. My truly exasperating sister (again!), weasling out of a family gathering that neither of us wanted to go to, after I've already said I'll be there. Bugger! My sister's secret fiance -- Mr. LavaLife. Ya gotta wonder when that relationship's gonna go all pear-shaped!
  18. I think they're a German punk band ... aren't they?
  19. "He did whistle and she did sing..."
  20. Aye, I believe there is a story there worth tellin'. Well, really it was just two regular gins... ...but I couldn't resist quoting the Libertines's song "Music When the Lights Go Out": "Well I'll confess all of my sins After several large gins But still I'll hide from you, Hide what's inside, from you..." Ransom: I know it's hard to say goodbye to your horses, but I'm sure you'll find them a good home, and then you'll be ready to start your exciting new travels. Hetha: Don't be so hard on yourself, m'dear! I'm sure you're very accomplished. And I doubt any of us is exactly where we planned or expected to be in life. So, for those feeling a bit despondent, I offer this motivational drinking song: Sae Will We Yet Sit doon here my cronies, and gie us your crack Let the wind tak' the care o' this life on its back Oor hearts to despondency we never will submit For we've always been provided for, and sae will we yet http://www.chivalry.com/cantaria/lyrics/sa...ill-we-yet.html [be sure to download the MP3 at the top -- it's great!]
