The stench of sick caught her off guard as she turned again in her bed trying to get comfortable. She did not sleep well that evening. Lilly moaned in pitiful agony once again. She could only blame herself for taking too much cider with the Scottish Captain the night before. Her whole body shook and she could still taste the vile remains of her sick in her mouth. She tried to sit up in bed and look out her small window. The afternoon sun now high in the sky and its’ heat penetrated her little room at the top of the stairs. She felt as if a great weight pressed upon her. Her head splitting in pain as she once again lent over the side of the bed, making sick once more. "God help me!" She said as she pulled herself back and laid down upon her bed.

Being a 'multiple' myself Rats, all I can say is that you should be very...very concerned when you don't see or hear the likes of your little pyrates-in-the-making! Though they have a 'built-in' playmate (and I'm sure those of you who have multiples know of what I speak), you can see the wheels turning whilst the other one(s) are just nodding in agreement! The family still talks about the "Great Dryer Caper" of '69...but that's another story...

Lilly smiled at Captain MacCraige then curtsied low as he set off towards the door. "God keep you Captain MacGraige." He paused for a moment before he existed the Inn, then quickly picked up his step when his little dog followed up long side him. The telling of her tale brought forth many memories of happier times. She looked back over at the Bar Keep as he cleaned the top of the run and ale soaked bar. "Has any word come from the Archangle for me? A letter, mayhap?" The Bar Keep just shook his head no. With a sigh Mistress Lilly turned toward the stairs. "I shall need my room again, that is if you let it out." "No, not yet. 'Tis yours until Monday morning." Lilly nodded at the man and slowly made her way up the staircase back to her little room at the end of the hall.

Careful Captain. That was a comment made only by a handful of individuals at one event last summer. Sadly, those of us who’ve been reenacting for ages know that there are those who are less tolerant of other time periods. Perhaps they feel that ‘their’ time period is ‘the only one that matters’ or just plain ignorant to the fact that there are those of us who may show no interest in their time, doesn’t make us any less important in our desire to educate or inform the public of our specific time line. The Archangel Crew set forth to prove to those who questioned our caliber that we can educate, entertain, and put our best foot forward. They did a wonderful job of it! This is also one of the reasons why Reenactor Fest was created. It was not only to have a great time, but also to educate the public and other time periods as well.

Hey Rats! Would that included a hidden 'tapper' somewhere in the mix of things?! Cheeky

(SIGH) Perhaps Reenactor Fest 3 will not have a strong Pyrate element in 2007 –though, perhaps the Pyrate Brethren will make an appearance. Hurricane, it sounds like a wonderful event. Perhaps I can convince my husband about going deep sea fishing with my uncle Kevin who runs a charter fishing business down there in the winter months, whilst I go enjoying the fun and frolic of the Pyrate event!

Lilly spun her tale during their dinner and their nightcap. The hour soon grew late into the evening. She placed down her glass and looked at the Captain cross from her. “There…my tale, for such as it is. Now I wait to see my son and hope that I shall again fall into favor with the good Captain Sterling.” She felt the small dog stir once again at her feet. As she lent down and picked him up into her lap, she saw the Captain look a bit forlorn at the telling of her tale. "I am sorry that I have kept you from your duties, Captain." She said with a slight frown. "The hour is late and I am sure that you have much business to attend to."
