Empty rhum bottle? That is not a "petty annoyance". It is a either a reason to sleep ...because you drank the whole thing , a reason to mourn ...because someone else drank the whole thing , or celebrate ...because you drank the whole thing with someone else.

Dutch ...good thinking ...in advance. If the water table is low does that mean no running water. That is indeed an issue. What about a water buffalo or the like? heck ...have the fire company fill the hose truck and we can wash our garb and ourselves at the same time! lol Also, if there are showers for 200 people then there has to be a place for the waste water. Even if everyone there were one shower for every 20 or so people the waste water would become an issue. As Callenish pointed out environmental friendly soap would be a MUST. Maybe we should all think about that stone ...has anyone stood down wind from MadL?

i confess I have done that, however it is usuly only for few reasons. 1) I mentioned at the start of the conversation that I have been waiting for a call and when that call comes the friend I am on the phone with knows it is comming. 2) I have already been on the phone with the first person far too long and we both know it (like my sister and I tend to do ...hey, we live over 350 miles apart!) 3) I have been looking for a way to end the conversation for 20 minuets already. Somethings you just need to get moving. (This seldom happens with anyone but one of my other sisters ...you can choose your friends not your family.) lol

or, if you have the intestinal fortitude, a release of vapours from the fundament never fails to make your point!I have come to the conclusion that both the sneeze or the gaseous cloud make you look bad and does nothing to correct the problem. I simply step towards the products that I am viewing to allow people to pass behinde me rather than stepping back and allwoing them to step before me. That way they can get past but not cut me off. However this behavior creates another problem, others who have adopted the same behavior and camp out in front of the item that I want to pluck off the shelf.

I have been attending the Philly Folk Festival since 1991. Thousands of campers. You don't need showers. People can bring a pail and a wash cloth and if they can't take a cold sponge bath they are wimps and shouldn't be camping anyway. If they want hot showers let them fend for themselves. Also, there are companies that have "shower" trucks. Trailers that are hauled. i don't know if they have tanks or if they have to be hooked up to running water. I have no idea what they cost and I have no idea how to find them. I know that a few years ago they got them at the Philly Folk Festival, I believe they charge something like $3.00 a shower at the festival.

Okay ...I take it all back. Ignore these statements. I had no right to make generalities. I thought that anyone camping with the Mercury camp was to be PC within 3 years (of their first year) and Mission has been at PiP 3 years. I was incorrect. Wow, cool ...and a whole string of explitives!

Today is the FIRST time I have peeked in here and what do I find? Exactly what I expected ...a bunch of potty talk! ...and of course I have to put in my two cents. I do prefer the seat down in the bathroom but that is because my father spoiled us growing up. He was one man with 5 women ...he was outnumbered. Now, as to my own place ...I admit that I am the worlds worse house keeper. However, I made the mistake of watching one of those reports that shows how many germs are spread and how far they are spread when the toilet is flushed ...6 feet. My bathroom is less than 6 feet square! lol So the tooth brushes are too close for my comfort. Add to that the fact that my dog likes to drink from the bowl ...blue water and all ...I don't want the dog but I also do not wish to kill her. So the seat goes down. As to the Port-o-John. PUT THE FEKING SEAT DOWN and if you sprinkle (ladies) clean it up! You won't catch something from the seat so just sit your arse down if you have poor aim! In a woman's defense ...it is just sort of icky to sit on there and it is very difficult to turn around in that little box if you are in garb. Okay ...I think that was all I have to say ...now let's see how long I can stay away again!
