  1. Well I can answer the numbers question...100 Total = Participants + Vendor...not 100 of each. Fayma will have to answer the rest, but the goal of the Fort has always been to try and make the fort event as historically accurate as possible...I would be surprised if they did not allow us to continue to grow toward that goal.
  2. not only changed the rigging but helped make it ready...even the snotties took a turn working... very impressive
  3. All my new pups...good shot...looking rather smart lads...including Malcolm X... yeah we weren't open to the public yet
  4. Well now that ye are a pressed man we look forward to having you with us more often... of course once you are an official member of the crewe, we shall have to actually put ye to ...ahem...**cough, cough** ... work....ahem... It was a pleasure Matt and I shall send you my email addy to keep you posted...and btw, love the moniker
  5. Great find Mark... especially since there are so many accounts of splinters being a major danger.
  6. Most memorable moment, running aground whilst rowing at night because everyone in the boat was too busy watching the big screen tv in some one house on shore.
  7. Home! Tick count rising and I think Mr. Merriweather the Elder has everyone beat..four so far. But what a GREAT event worth every bug and every drop of sweat...Hats of to Dutch for a super time and the best pirate Olympics ever!!! More to come....but need air conditioning and some sleep! Three cheers Dutch, ye earned everyone of em.
  8. Always carry on important parts of yer kit or wear it, if you can... you'd look kind of funny draped in only the flag ....sniggering. glad all worked out
  9. Since we're cousins, I have to agree with Robbie and add, don't stand around with yer thumb up yer arse while everyone else is breaking their backs setting up, breaking down, or attending to any other kind of work required... pull yer thumb out and lend a hand... and don't be afraid to ASK if you aren't sure what to do... no one appreciates people standing around watching them do all the hard stuff on their own... many hands make for light work and there are no "captains" when it comes to the dirty work.
  10. Many happy returns of the day to ye all!
  11. I forgive you....sniggering....
  12. sniggering...That's some carry on...
  13. Does it actually fit in a carry on? Godspeed to the lot of ye
  14. Hmmm perhaps I shall have ye unload my gear...
  15. Right then remind me to give you something hard to do this coming weekend... yer packing chores are far tooooo easy!
  16. Ah... also... best place to fly in, some local hotels, and would the fort be willing to allow some to bivouac inside ?
  17. Hello Lady...and how are ye m'dear? Sounds like a grand time and I want to know more...when ye can, please supply us with dates and times of arrival and break down...is there a limit to numbers in the historical camp...participant fees are what exactly? And why not post a link to that web page right here...
  18. Anyone BUT me... or I'll keel haul his black, bony arse...
