Is this the Bloody Davy Cash from the PB? Hope you can make it down... would be grand to see you again. -
^ a decent Rainwater < Coughing up a storm... any chance I can pitch my tent way off in the far corner at PW? V Passing along, what's your alcoholic unobtainium?
-
Sewing? **Looks at pin-pricks on fingers, and bruises on top of the feet from crawling around on a tile floor laying out and cutting patterns** Why would you think I've been sewing? Welcome to the club!
-
Keep it organized enough to stop traffic from tripping over tent stakes and ropes... certainly do not need streets a la the British military, although I would expect the Redcoat camp to be more so, just keep it safe for the spectators... and leave me a space FAR away from the rest of my snoring crew!!
-
So sorry Captain. The charters have picked up here at the harbor. We've been fishing alot lately. Glad to hear business is going well!! Not to fret, just teasing my crew members as I KNOW they are all sewing...
-
Oi anyone going to write any more? And don't tell me yer all busy sewing... snigger.
-
^ not really forget where I was going, just not paying attention and end up at some place I habitually drive, like work, church or a certain store, instead of the place I meant to go < one more test day... already getting a sunburn from all the kick ball games in between...maybe this job isn't so stressful after all... V politically correct or not?

What is the main type of character you will be portraying? -
^ hmmm either the office, because I am usually stuck there working on something, the pool depending on the weather, or the kitchen... for some reason we are always in the kitchen talking < Just got a package with a beautiful piece of real circa 1700 lace for a cravat... it is magnificent.... V where is your favorite place to congregate at home?
-
Never knew playing kickball all day in 87 degree weather on a hot black top could be so exhausting....
-
Remember dirt and grass stains when you do... a bit of hay from the nearby barn's loft wouldn't hurt either!
-
Lill, you and Chole together will be quite the sight! Won't be any other females out there that can hold a candle to either of you when it comes to middling sort. Some one remind Rats to bring the camera to PW. Now to just get you to lick those bodice gowns and I can retire from sewing ladies' garments and maybe I might just finish something I wear.... snigger.
-
Oi looks great Lill! Well done. Now just to give ye a tumble in the dirt and make you look more period....
-
^ Port Washington, too soon and no, but then I never am.... < Do feel better soon, Silkie (yes the Captain is a clod when it comes to social graces) V your worst habit?
-
Saw a lot of the Newport houses, many are B & B's... one entire road is filled with them... beautiful place to stay and appreciate the architecture. Can't remember how old the one was that we staid in but Rochembau's (sp) headquarters was right across the street. We were wandering by on a tour and the woman invited us all in and showed us some very impressive painted panels that most folks don't get to see. Very, very pleasant, very informative. Lovely place, just a bore for Halloween...

^ I work with children, not much I can get away with, not that I would want to.. < Explain the law to a fifth grader and boy will they run with it! V What do you love most about your job?
-
Ok just please don't take this the wrong way. But I try to make an honest living designing and it really doesn't help if you publicly say you've copied one of my designs. Um... Hilde ... you do realize that you're talking to an imaginary character in an imaginary hat, don't you? [A hat, which, btw, I drew free-hand, and has nothing to do with your actual "designs".] FWIW: Honestly I think cocked hats fall under public domain no matter what size, so no one owns the copyright to their design... now if you posted an actual pattern and it was copied and used...
-
FWIW: Hmmm okay not black powder pistols, but studies done on human skulls found at Rev War site in Tappan, NY, If I recall the location correctly, show that the butt end of a musket slammed into a sleeping man's skull, resulted in an entry wound the size of the butt end of the musket and an exit wound much larger. Okay not a true exit wound, but the human skull appears to react so that when damaged by a blow from one direction, blow seems to travel through the skull and blow out the far/opposite side. Now these were not gunshots but a bludgening wound. Again, another example, a man was hit in the temple on the golf course by a golf ball. He was knocked out for about two minutes, came to, felt fine and finished the game. The wound from the golf ball blew out a piece of his skull that took the rest of the game time, to travel across the man's brain until it hit a spot that finally killed him. He collasped an hour or so later after arriving home.

^ spaghetti < alphabet backwards? is there a song for that? snigger V I like this question... passing this one on again... What's the most impressive sight you've seen in your travels?

^ Several ... people that know me best say I should write a book, but no one would ever believe it..snigger..but when you really think about it, we all have and every day... just not as dramatic as we would like to think... < stunned to know that there are more summer projects other than sewing... V Pass the question along to those who would like to tell their tale... ever had a brush with destiny?
