  1. Approximately 10 weeks from England to Jamaica... so you are close. From Jamaica to England it took about 14 weeks. Regarding England and the Colonies, depends in which direction you are traveling and to or from where....
  2. I shall bring the "p"uddings and "p"ossets for the "p"eriod correct and "P"izza for the others that aren't into authenticity!
  3. ^ pool, just did my first laps for the season < Mr. Merriweather the younger and I have an accord to swim laps every day, rain or shine... V swim or would you rather just sit by and sun?
  4. For Dirty Billy's it all depends on what else he's got going on... his Girl Friday, also said to keep on them about it...honestly I didn't need to, my hat came in less than two months and it was a special order in gray beaver. But if you can get a cheap substitute in the meantime, Dirty Billy's hats are not only worth every penny but worth the wait....
  5. ^ Hmmm like to play our hobby of reenacting with George Washington, Bart Roberts and King Henry VIII, and Robespierre (sp)! I bet they would think we were completely out of our minds for doing what we do!! < FIRST FULL DAY WITH ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO! Better get to work on that red coat! V Great question P.E.W. and great banner btw, Passing P.E.W's question along -- What game would you like to play, and with whom?
  6. Time had already been lost. As the heavy door to the cell drew to a close, Sterling had thrown himself against it in a last ditch effort to prevent the inevitable. How long he had pounded upon it, he did not know, but his hands were scratched and bruised from his desperation not to be left alone in the dark again unless by his own accord. He finally turned and leaned back against the barrier allowing himself to slip downward to the floor to rest amongst the filthy remains of straw that was to serve as his bedding. He shuddered slightly, then tried to inspect the useless damage he had caused himself, irons grumbling as reminder that, even locked away in this small space, he was far from free.
  7. If I am not mistaken, I believe these are different letters all together, not related by topic or answering the previous letter, just the senders happen to be the same...
  8. Very well then. Come up with a plan, although I bet you already have one, you know I support you and yer talent 100%
  9. ^ Always hectic but strangely organized enough to accomplish everything I've been asked to do < funny how one is always adding to the load and never subtracting V summer project(s)?
  10. ^ rather stuck between a rock and a hard place regarding that... need the truck to haul all the gear to events... better mileage usually doesn't haul well < no more school till August... taking on sewing commissions V What do you need a break from? Posting Red Cat's question as well, since I just posted right after her...take yer pick V Agree with alternate methods of power (solar, wind etc?) even if they may mean a windmill farm in your area or some other obvious facility?
  11. Is the event still on? And who might be attending?
  12. For those of you who get the paper Scuttle Sally was talking about, there are more pictures in section B...
  13. ^ Three times at least, twice after too many bottles of port in one night and the third time after RF2 and Pete's grogtinis (sp). < Grogtinis, your brain is fine, clear, can reason, you can carry on a perfectly good conversation, but, boy does your body go off in a completely different direction and then all of a sudden just ups and quits.... damn but they taste fine! V How are the gas prices hitting you?
  14. Hotel rooms?? Damnation Woman, ye need to learn to camp! Tis where ye find all the best pricketty stitchery stories!
  15. I was blessed with a pass to a hot shower, thanks to CBIL and Flintlock, but never found the time to make it over. As for the snotties, they just enjoy being dirty, although young Mr. Merriweather did manage to fall in the lake....
  16. Try sleeping with them and the snotties... could barely make it to the bed let alone find my blunderbuss! and I had the largest tent in the camp!!
  17. ^ I sleep when ever I get the chance, which is few and far between < So how do we get the bloody gas prices down so we can all go to events this summer? V I like this question: How many times have you sworn never to drink alcohol again?
