  1. Call Mr. March regarding weapons... might make yerself a nice wedding present...
  2. Actually for your character, the only histories you might need to know, unless you were the queen of the local gossips, might be that of Nelly Greene and the Devareaux clan...
  3. ^ Gray < Cheeks ye think like a woman! V Hold on to things, or do you live light and let go? (good question)
  4. Well after finding this rendition of the ladies, tis why I now question using it for MEN'S clothing....
  5. ^ Cheeks, you know me, what do you think? < bust of energy? what a woman! like this one V Ever have a hard time sleeping at night when you're excited?
  6. Here it is! progression thread
  7. Hmmm from a 1726 edition of Johnson... note what looks like ruffles on their caps or scarves on their heads... and that their sleeves look like they are gathered at the wrist...
  8. Aye just think, he'll have more clothes then me soon.... ahem....
  9. Yeah try the scented ones... snigger....
  10. Hmmm I'm not seeing this, especially for the working class... mind sharing your documentation?
  11. Brilliant! Wonder if they knew what they were doing or if it "just happened that way!"
  12. Old English Coffee Houses (nice find, this one might just get pirated away) Defoe's A Journal of the Plague Years Kronenberger's Kings & Desperate Men: life in eighteenth century England & Green's Queen Anne oh and the Ritchie book about Kidd
  13. Relieved! Silkie glad to hear you're in a good humor!
  14. The skinny is beeswax... not a candle... unless of course perhaps the candle is made of beeswax... you can get beeswax at sewing stores... maybe not the best... Ask Mr. March where he got Skittles' beeswax now that was nice stuff... just run your thread through the block a few times and you are good to go...
  15. One would wonder about that, depending on exactly what type of pistol was used... Forensic scientists now say that Lincoln, shot in the back of the head and the ball coming to rest just behind his (left?) eye would MOST likely have been a vegetable due to the PATH the projectile took but it would not have turned his brain to mush or even necessarily killed him.. They now claim it was the brain swelling due to all the constant probing by the doctors that actually finished him.
  16. Fop... ack... **shuddering at the thought** Being captain... I just dress well, m'dear. And thank ye Lady B... love ye as well!
  17. My favorite stockings are the blue on the boob in the back all in brown... Kass had once posted that it was one of the more common colours in the colonies...Thanks to Williamsburg they are seamed and of course mine are clocked as well... wouldn't want to let Patrick down....
  18. And he calls me a fancy dan... look at them bright red stockings...just aim for the legs lads, ye can't miss him! Wot's wrong wi' red stockings? This was taken on 16 June in St. Mary's City aboard the Dove... Oh nothing... I have... ahem...**tugging at suddenly all too tight cravat** several pairs myself...
  19. You scored as a Captain Jack Sparrow Roguish,quick-witted, and incredibly lucky, Jack Sparrow is a pirate who sometimes ends up being a hero, against his better judgment. Captain Jack looks out for #1, but he can be counted on (usually) to do the right thing. He has an incredibly persuasive tongue, a mind that borders on genius or insanity, and an incredible talent for getting into trouble and getting out of it. Maybe its brains, maybe its genius, or maybe its just plain luck. Or maybe a mixture of all three. Captain Jack Sparrow 92% William Wallace 83% hmmm not so sure I like being thought of as someone who puts me first all the time... not something I could be proud of.
  20. Yes thank ye Chole. well aware of that... also one of the event organizers is a member of the Archangel... so I get an earful both ways...
