Happy Birthday Pew!
-
I am thinking, mayhaps we should ask exactly where they are putting you... I would rather see you set up in the same hall with us, then be cloistered away in some room, no one else is using during the day... as some of us need to be at the display at all times, it might be better to have you right next door to us... that way you might not end up alone... I remember the first year, the Romans and the Waves (?) had one room all to themselves, detached from the rest of the displays and vendors, they were pretty lonely.... I have broken down and moved sound equipment plenty of times before, so I am thinking moving you into different rooms at night, if necessary, would be a whole lot easier than moving our sh---stuff...

Well, first off - nothing that might be pilfered. Lanterns and jewelry would look smashing, but I can't be responsible for them and I don't think you want to see someone walk off with your goods. But if anyone has spare room in their vehicle for a small wooden crate, a few yeards of burlap, or even a ships wheel that could be leaned against the wall - that sort of stuff. I know that for the most part it's unlikely that anyone will have such large ticket items lying around and the means to easily transport them, but I figured it's worth throwing out there just the same. I've not even seen a picture of the room, so I'm flying blind. But I certainly have a large assortment of pirate flags I'll bring, an old smashed up barrel, some small furniture to DJ from, some tattered fabric I can drape over anything unsightly, etc. I'd be careful with anything too big and too heavy Bilge... as we were asked to set our display up in your room but we were also told that it would have to be taken down and put away so the room could be used at night for other things, including the ball... sorry that was too much work especially if we do bring the tavern, gallows, etc... once we set that up we want to be able to leave it, not have to Put it away all the time... I do agree though, small things may go missing, but we should be able to fix you up with some stuff...

Many happy returns of the day to ye!

Here's the birthday boy, in the center in the blue and white checked shirt.... Bloody Jack Madd, but he changed his name to Matthew Bottles when he joined the Archangel Crewe...

pssst....here that Sterling.... .....YOU did a great job..... ...i really got to re-write that show. Mister d'Dogge,I know that I told you how impressed I was with your performance but I can no longer keep quiet about the experience. You are truly a motivator. You managed to excite me so much that I didn't care who heard me shouting. Nor did I care about any danger to my dear friend John hearing me find pleasure in your performance. Your prowess in keeping em up for so long, pausing for but a moment and continuing to please with your oral expertise was beyond my imagination. I wait impatiently for our next experience together. mind in the gutter....

Since ye are so uncertain, we shall let ye be the first guinea pig, I mean volunteer, so ye understand what we are all talking about....after all thanks to the pictures, everyone has already seen yer arse, including Mission, so it shouldn't be too much of a shock for the good doctor...
-
Wishing ye a very happy and blessed birthday. Hope ye have a grand day of it Matt!
-
Congratulations Patrick, if any one deserves to be immoral tis ye... damn I meant immortal... on never mind...
-
My hat's off to ye, Mr. Hand... tis so nice of ye to volunteer to go first where the doctor be concerned...

according to the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea(or whatever the exact title is), sailors often paid what would be deemed exhorbitant prices for the dead man's things, knowing that the money would get sent home to his family to help provide for them...

Right then, we have more and more planned, so we need to be careful how we schedule all this... I already need to clone myself by ten for next year's event because there just wasn't enough of me to go around this year, and aye, I got an earful regarding it... Yes I would love to be in the pub and the hide and the fort and at the pirate Olympics to support my crewe and do the livng history and skits I promised all at the same time, but frankly I tried this time, ran myself ragged and no one was happy because I wasn't where they thought I should be... so honestly, it would be fun to run gate duty, but I'm thinking, just how much would it cost to hire on a security guard to watch the gate and each crew chip in for them?

Well if there were some place to sling a hammock...

Actually Dutch had my flag for about four days, when he gave it back, I never even noticed it had gone missing... as to barrels, the only one that went was one of mine and at the last minute we had to leave it behind... the Mistress packed so many clothes that the trailer just could not handle the barrel as well....

OMG, why, oh why, I can I see this so clearly in my head?

G'NIGHT - to all the other late night pub addicts
Capt. Sterling replied to RustyNell's topic in Beyond Pyracy
an addiction? ye must never let the pub become an addiction! **Sterling gently returning the laptop he ripped out of a third grader's hands... pats her on the head!** -
Nell: "Hark!! who goes there" de Dogge: "Maddogge! What's the combination?" Sterling: "Don't tell him, he should know it by now!"

Thank you for the kind words but so sorry you had to go through what you did. Thank God, all worked out positively for the lady, and I hope once she fully recovers that she sees that life is still worth living no matter what. Thanks for being there for her and all of us. Miss you.

AH honestly, that would be Harry and those HE chooses to be in authority... after all tis his playground... and aye, PiP is a "loose" event, but frankly, we allow it to get too loose and eventually safety and everything else will go down the drain...
