  1. That's my boy Robbie, now I don't have to pay for fuel for the winter fires... twill be a long, but cozy and warm winter...
  2. **Sterling looking completely shocked** Cousin Robbie knows how to use the phone?
  3. HEY I have an idea... maybe we should hang....** Maddogge jumps on Sterling to shut him up**
  4. Isn't it funny how them that complain the most are those that never even come to the event in the first place and check it out..was this one even there? Did he even see the folks defending the fort? gee if he had just spent two minutes in the camp when we were doing living history, he would have learned there was more to this event then just "playing pirate"... not only that, I don't know any one of us that would not have turned around and agreed that pirates were and still are dangerous criminals... especially funny since we play pirate hunter, the law and order guys, and some historians claim they were worse than the pirates themselves... still in all he also might be interested to know there were a number of colonial governors in co hoots with the pirates, their income helped establish some of the colonies (gee just talk to historians in Newport RI) and if he really wants to get down to the nitty gritty, hell, everyone of the so called patriots that fought in the American Rev. War were technically breaking the laws of the day... As for slavery, again send him to our camp and have him talk to me, Sterling having been a slave in Algiers knows about both sides of the trade and can easily teach on the problems of it, he is one character that does not glorify it... (not that any of us do)... Folks like this character are dangerous, even more so than real pirates.. wasn't it folks like Stalin and Hitler who were more than happy to "bury" certain aspects of history... gee wonder if he's ever sat down and spoke with a holocaust victim... Oh yes let's pretend it never existed and it will simple go away and never happen again...obviously he knows nothing about history... Gee wonder what kind of letter he sent Disney when the POTC movies came out...but then again, knowing this type, he was first in line at the ticket booth..
  5. Umm... The long haired person beside hurricane is a guy... It's Dangerous... but he's pretty for a boy :) Don't know about Dogge, but Sterling, I know you were in the privy at the time... I had just sprained my ankle and hobbled back when they took this shot and you and I had just discussed shackles. I would like it noted I did mention you were not there as I had just seen you, but as usual, no one gave a damn what I had to say.....so I just started drinking again and icing my foot... right then I'm confused... ye saw me in the privy??ON Sunday as well??? I remember ye kept me from heeling over in the privy on Saturday night.... Damn woman, we need to stop meeting like this...or I'll have to make ye a mistress...
  6. Oi yer a part of the crewe now... believe me, ye'll learn... might be the hard way, but ye'll learn
  7. Well we all know where we weren't wanted....don't we Maddogge?
  8. and then again, as if you wouldn't know whether ye were there or not... blond moment...
  9. Right then, without my glasses maybe that's not Hurricane either...sheesh...
  10. Weren't you over there though? we were back at camp getting last minute things for the hanging...candles etc... right then I don't have my glasses on but isn't that you next to Hurricane?
  11. Aye I see the snotties but Silkie is still not in it, she was with me and I know she was disappointed about missing it...
  12. Heh, heh, heh....**wicked grin** **hyperventilating** ack....
  13. Wishing ye a very blessed birthday... Let Hugh change Hammy's diapers today...
  14. The ban has been lifted, thanks to Mike Bollow... now if I could just get him to stop kissing me on the cheek and saying "I love my captain!" and then announcing he's gay... which he really isn't... frankly he is one crew member that scares the living hell out of me...
  15. Hmmm we had enough to encircle the large garbage pail which held the water... or at least partially, there is actually a picture some where of the fire buckets.... but I would think perhaps ten per large garbage pail and station one at each "corner" of the camp or in each camp... one per Mercury, one per Bonies, one per Archangel, etc and certainly one by the Hide's cook fire...that way at least we would have something in fairly easy reach to get started with if there was some sort of diasaster.. kind of like have it and hope to God you never have to use it... and frankly odds are this will never happen again, but nothing wrong with being safe than sorry...and I would certainly recommend, like Harry said, cans of clean sand by the cook fires as well for grease fires... what say you Dutch? ...and, yeah I know this is about to come from the PCAR challenged... but I would highly recommend some of the led fake candles for those that really like to leave a light on in the tent while they are away at night... some of them truly look like the real deal and for safety issues after hours, I personally .... see nothing... wrong.. with them... there actually said, I can breathe now
  16. Um... me... I have yet to see the movie...bits and pieces aye, but not the entire movie... so I was a pirate long before while you all were walking around in fishnets....snigger
  17. No Mules...this one is already as stubborn as a mule, but horses...hmmm ...oh yeah...damn boat...sigh
  18. Mistresses, can't live with em, can't marry em, can't kill em
  19. A mistress scorned...go figure..she's the only wife I marry, after begging her for years and being turned down twice, that I divorce a few months later... just goes to show, be careful what you wish for...
