The Patriot is really good yes. How I hated Jason Isaacs in that film. Awesome villain. Horrible man. I wanted him dead so bad.

thank the gods, I saw that too as shaving.. good to have you back, Zorg.. Shaving? If I need shaving, I won't be asking you. I do my own shaving. :) No offense, but with your eyesight I might end up with no eyebrows. Tito - I meant period films as in historical films: Gladiator, Wurthering Heights, Troy, Master & Commander, Pride and Prejudice, etc. Considering I'm a re-enactor of the Napoleonic period, I'm a bit of a history freak so I love films about medieval times, victorian times, etc. I do love Star Wars (old series mostly) though.

LOTR as a musical? -imagines Saruman singing and dancing- Sounds funny. I didn't know that yet. I haven't seen either version of Scrooge. I've almost never seen black and white films. Oldest films I can remember watching: Casablanca, Gone with the Wind. I've seen a few films from the 50s too, but I can't think of any right now. What do you think of period films then?

Thanks! You mean the old version? 1970 I think. I think the newer version starred Patrick Steward. I've never watched Star Trek. But I've seen Steward in a modern version of Canterville Ghost. He was the ghost and did some Hamlet dialogue too (of Ham's father. Ham. lol. I like that on bread too. ) Wrong Strauss. Too many composers in one family... I might know his work, but most classical pieces I don't know by name. Those I really like I know because I had to download them first. Or look them up on a CD (my mom owns many classical CDs).

When it comes to classical music, I like Beethoven, Mozart and Tchaikovsky best. I also really like Puccini. When it comes to pieces, I love Carmen, Bolero (latin classical music haha), Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, the Nutcracker, Revolution Etude. I like Strauss. The walz is a lovely dance. Very happy and energetic. I like it very much. I'm not really familiar with Wagner. Nothing wrong with pop music. Some pop singers are excellent singers. Like Josh Groban or Clay Aiken. I love their voices. I listen to jazz, soul and funk too sometimes. Alicia Keys, Prince, Jamie Cullum, Norah Jones. That kind of thing.

They don't think Johnny Depp is attractive? I thought it was a truth universally acknowledged that he's gorgeous. :) They're in denial.

Thanks for the welcome, Captain Jacob. Nice to make your acquaintance.

I love Tosca. We have that on DVD. Brilliant. Amazing, that song at the very end. I have a version by Pavarotti on my computer. But although he is a great singer (technically), the song lacked feeling. I prefer the singer who sings it on our DVD. His name escaped me. -thinks- My favourite soundtracks: Man of the Iron Mask, Gladiator, Shakespeare in Love, The Edge, The Rock, Braveheart, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc.

-swoons- I love that outfit Orlando is wearing.

Exactly. I've seen an opera live. Nabucco by Puccini. Saw it in Germany when I was on holiday there. I just saw Phantom of the Opera for the first time. On DVD. lol My aunt saw the ballet when she was in St. Petersburg a few years ago. In one of those beautiful buildings. I'm sure it was spectacular. So do you guys like any classical music? I sure do. I love soundtracks too.

Reading Russian is easy though. But speaking is even easier. Can't believe you flunked Spanish twice! I flunked French.
-
My top 5 1. Dutch (for obvious reasons) 2. English (fluent) 3. German (fluent) 4. Spanish (for 1 year at school) 5. French (for 1 year at school) Like I wrote in my introduction topic, I plan on learning many languages in the years to come and will probably study English at university (taking the course: Cambridge Certificate for English Proficiency).

Awesome picture! You should definitely see Finding Neverland. It's a really good film. I like the new Peter Pan too. Seen that one? Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films) makes an excellent Hook. Amazing costumes too.

I play air guitar. -cool pose-

Thanks for the info. That sounds interesting. I didn't remember all that. Tito - I own Phantom of the Opera and Chicago on DVD. They're great. I like them very much. I also love the Sound of Music, Moulin Rouge, the 3 Musketeers (Dutch production), etc. I've never seen a big musical live. Just an unknown one on stage last year. Obviously, never been to broadway either. I'd like to though. Sounds like fun. There are many things I still want to see or experience. Like ballet. I'd love to see Swan Lake sometime. Or this latin show I saw an ad about the other day. It's a combination of Flamenco and ballet. But it's too far away and they only have a few shows. Expensive too.

I've seen the Mambo Kings, yes. Many years ago though so I don't remember it too well. But I liked it. :) Do you like musicals too? Many of those too.
-
Maybe. I guess I'm a rather chatty person.

Meany! I know Gasolino. That is the other song I meant. Couldn't think of the name. The girl looks a lot like Shakira. Seems like a wannabe to me.
-
You mean Dirty Dancing 2: Havena Nights? I love that one. Don't know why it was a flop. I thought it was great. I'm really bad at math myself but at higher education I'm sure the students learn all kinds of complex math stuff I couldn't understand in my wildest dreams. We're into Reggaeton. With Skakira's La Tortura and one other song. *thinks* Can't remember the title. I didn't like it much. I love La Tortura and have it on my computer.

The first is from Finding Neverland. He's entertaining a Kate Winslet's kids.
-
Thanks. It's tiny. *leans forward* I like the hair. hehe
-
No, never saw it. Was it a good film? I bet he looked hot. He always does.

That's hilarious! I think Johnny would make a pretty girl. With those beautiful facial features. :)

John Wilmot a.k.a. the Earl of Rochester

Morgan - I bet that was a lot of fun. :) Diego - Thanks! I've met so many nice people here.
