  1. Recently , Eye held an event that originally was going to be called "Buccaneers Bowling for Boobies"

But alas that did not go over so well with the Charity "Busted Foundation" as they already had a group named "Bowling for Boobies" and so It was named "Buccaneer Bowling" Eye have attended alot of Charities over the years but this is the first one eye held on my own.. My intention now is to get other Leviathan members involved in putting on the same event in other cities simultaneously next year. We can make a bigger impact in fund raising that way and possibly start a national competition between Buccaneer bowling teams. Also eye plan on writing a one page article for Mutiny Magazine. The whole event in my opinion was entirely a HOOTIN and a Hollerin Spectacle! We all had a great time..Eye have not seen so many people REALLY enjoy themselves at an event as eye did this one. It was Special.

  2. Thar be a good possibility that Eye will be gracing ye alls wit me presents at this eerr festival...

Be good to see some of ye cads Eye've met at PIP in 2009 and new faces as well. Eye have had me eye on this

event for the last four years .. was sorta glad eye scrubbed coming last year.. with such a torrent of weather ..

  3. Went through that last year... A Spiritual conviction brought me about to even cutting off my beard and coming damn close to taking everything in the Pirate cove, putting it on a trailer, and selling it at swap meet for cut rate prices just to rid myself of it all. Frankly Eye enjoy being around people who cosplay pirate, reenacting or Hollywood.. Not having anything to replace the time, energy, eye spend on this hobby ( and the excitement Eye am addicted to ), sorta kept me here. It truly is a Stranglehold I Love.. Hee HEe thats twisted , but hey !

However, Some Jealousy from those who Eye thought were my friends entered the picture and eye get sniped on, is something eye care not for,,,, so the fun wanes quickly.

Eye quit one group that eye loved and was a member of for many years due to Martial issues that eye did not want to hear murmurers about.

All the other reasons have already been sited so eye will not repeat them here.

] If you want to wear beads, wear beads.[/b]

I heard Beads were actually used as currency during GAOP in North America and was known as Wampum. http://www.nativetec...m/wamphist.htm.

Now Eye have no source about Pirates trading with American Indians , however Beads have been traded as well as shells even for hundreds of years before pirates ever arrived on the scene. The Spanish landed in the Caribbean in 1492.. ( Columbus ) by 1500 The indigenous Indians in the greater West Indies had been wiped out or enslaved. There were no Arawak Indians left. The PIRATES could not have even been known by them let alone traded with them. However we do know Pirates bartered. Don’t we ?

In Western Africa, shell money was used as legal tender up until the mid 19th century. as well as many island nations. My Source is Wikipedia but again no direct connection to pirates wearing beads or using shells as currency when they were at sea or visiting a foreign port..

I have an interest in this as eye wear them with my " Hollywood Authentic " impression . The

One national Geographic series on Pirates..all the English actors/re-enactors were wearing beads and beards. Eye thought that interesting because eye remember the discussion on beards on this board, it was deemed that most pirates did not have facial hair..

  5. Funny you are writing this and eye just saw this post... I have been in the process of writing an article concerning reenactment as well.. For Mutiny Magazine.. A snap shot of Toshiba Tall Ships and a Reenactment group of Brits.

Looks like all the salts here have already answered up so No need to repeat them from my own hand.
