But we are particularly disheartened that Joel Harlow was not nominated for his Make Up effects. Every one of those other films sent their work OUT to be sculpted. It was all done by other companies for those films but Joel did every bit of his work himself. Bootstrap, the cannibals, Pintel and Regetti…. All of it. But Joel was not recognized. That SO sucks.

True enough... we are are nominated in the CG catagory and if we don't win THAT then there is no God of the Seas.... It's all for Bill y'know...

Aye.... Aside from real life taking its toll (as with you lads....) my JOB has helped me burn out on Piracy. How cruel it that? So MANY of us at the Studio that have been Pirate people for years( long before it became a fashion...) are now toasted on the subject... just from the stress of what we have been working on here. While it sounds like a dream job to some to be working with the films of Pirate of the Caribbean, it’s OVERKILL! I never get away from it. Never. Up to my arse in Pirates during the weekday with work and then up to it again on the weekend with events and such like. I am tired. (Sigh) And can see it only getting crazier after May 25th. You have my sympathy and my understanding lads.

Well, if the reason you accepted the job in the first place is gone... (old Boss) then you are right justified. I wish you lived closer. Studios look for good IT people all the time.

The Dutchman is now down at anchor on a Disney Cruise line private island as a destination for the cruise guests.... It looks awesome there.
