  1. Damn, I’m just happy that you’re still with us. Glad you're back.
  2. Back in the 90s when Paramount was launching it’s own line of Star Trek websites, they did just that sort of thing. In an attempt to maintain control over it's property, harassment and threats of court action was taken against anyone and everyone from ISPs to owners of similar and even dissimilar domain names to fan websites, killing their own fan base. I think we will have to see if Disney goes overboard and does the same thing.
  3. Aye, but no one could revel in his duties like Dog Brown. And that redeems him. . . sorta.
  4. In support of Gute's Morgan, how about 1:30 then
  5. Ahoy there Duchess and welcome yarself back aboard. But do you have anything version of your story that's a bit less vague you can tell us? Maybe just a medium size version of yar time away at sea? As for things around here, they are pretty much what they are or were. . . That is except the board changing hands - being acquired by Commodore Bloddy Buckets and the site getting a face-lift. In any case, welcome back!
  6. Duncan has made the request that this thread should be locked to prevent any further confusion with another similar thread. If anyone thinks it should be reopened and unlocked, please feel free to send me a PM, Personal Message. (berp)
  7. I agree that would be rude, trying to meet up at as the Pyrates Royale get underway doesn’t make sense. I assume that most of us Pyrate people would rather watch the Pyrates Royale show anyway, than meet, talk and be loud. . . Let’s pick a time where we’re not going to be in competition for each other’s attention. Last year Flint had a hell of a time trying to locate and coordinate all of us so we could all meet up at same time. How about meeting up earlier or later? 11:00? 1:30? 2:00? 11:00 is a pretty dead block as far as shows go and that would get it over early.
  8. Green? Yuk, I'm not wearing no stinking green! It might clash with what I'm wearing. How is that for being accommodating?
  9. It has been brought to me attention that there is some confusion over what time all us Pyracy Pub types should get together and meet-up. Everyone should take a look at the MDRF faire schedule and figure out what time bees the best. http://www.rennfest.com/mrf/entert/schedule.htm
  10. Pyracy Pub Gathering Maryland Renaissance Festival Pirate Invasion! Week-End Saturday, September 25 Whitehart Tavern Time To Be Announced I’ll be wearing me Sea Dog outfit, the usual Stynky hat - brown felt, brim turned up in front, black feathers and a clay pipe. A lightish colored shirt, burgundy and black doublet – worn open not laced, black sash around the middle, light colored breeches with brown stripes. I’ll be carrying a whiteish canvas bag – slung over me shoulder with a homemade Pyracy Pub badge pinned to it. And depending on how organized I get, it might even have me own name across the top of it. Now here be who is are going so far: Capt. Flint Katey O'Tierney crimson corsair queenrogue Madam Macaw Sealegs Constance RummyGal Meself – Stynky Pyrate Molly Mad Woman Cheryl Crispy Dick blenderwench Is there anyone else planning on attending?
  11. Aye Master Steele, the "Daily Life -> Officers & Crew" link on the Rumskulls site tis a great resource for this!
  12. Arr, that be very cool indeed. . . Sounds kind of like the old days of punk rock when the person(s) in the audience that were just standing next to you drinking a beer, have climbed on stage and started playing, while the band you just watched is mingling in the crowd. Small club spaces to see bands is the best!
  13. I'm not sure that you mean rank so much as you might mean station or a manned position aboard ship. Like Joshua was saying, there would be a certain amount of crossover from one’s previous duties or abilities. Someone who had previously been a Navy sailor would likely carry on similar duties aboard a Pirate ship. Likewise for lubbers pressed into Navy or Pirate service, a cook on land would likely become ship’s cook, a carpenter on land would likely become ship’s carpenter. Now for a list of possible positions available aboard ship of the time. . . I don’t have them in my head or at me fingertips at the moment. Anyone else know?
  14. Aye, I can't wait! Looking forward to it.
  15. Damn, they kick-ass Have you seen them play?
  16. Aye, it will be good to see you and crispy again as well! Aye, we could use a couple more IKEA bookshelves.
  17. Aye, me too. I've been on the look out for them meself. Every card shop I've been to, either regrets thinking they wouldn't sell or are just sold out. In either case they all wish they had 'em in stock.
  18. Very cool HarborMaster, great pictures! And thanks for the sword anatomy lesson.
  19. Ahoy there Duncan, it has been a long while since Hampton. I look forward to seeing you again and having a pint. Are ya going to be wearing your kilt this time?
  20. Aye, that sounds great Captain Flint. We'll plan to impose ourselves, sometime Friday afternoon evening, spending Friday and Saturday nights then leaving Sunday morning after we've emptied your fridge of food and house of drink and furniture. Whitehart Tavern Time To Be Announced Aye Captain. (berp)
