  1. Wow, Amazing! That is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing.
  2. NOTE: Some of you will need to overt your eyes, this is not a hand sewing tutorial - I’m using a modern sewing machine. The average Market Wallet seems to be about 12 to 15 inches wide by 30 to 40 inches in length. First find yourself some medium weight linen or cotton cloth and cut it to an appropriate size. The wallet I make here in this example is for small items and is roughly 10 inches x 26 inches. So we need our cloth to be cut to 20 inches x 26 inches. Fold your material in half - right side in, bringing the longest edges together. The center opening for your wallet needs to be at least 8 inches. So measure 9 inches from each small edge, mark & pin. Now sew the long edges together, keeping in mind not to sew your opening closed. Break out the old flat iron and flatten our new seams. Now sew your flattened seams flat. Line up, pin the shorter edges & sew them closed. Turn everything right side out and iron. Add a few items, give it a twist and hang it from a belt or over your shoulder.
  3. Welcome back aboard Iron Jon! Sorry but, we had to remove the edit/delete options. A few users would intentionally gas light folks then go back and edit the offensive bits from their original posts. When users would rise up and complain, the author would shrug and claim to be the victim.
  4. This example was posted to the Pub back in October of 2011, by Graye Fox from MinuteMan Armoury. 5. Noice! I'm still scrounging around looking for my tent poles, I'm sure they're in the garage some place - just can't find anything now that its been tidied. I've started looking at some round wood stock for replacements. Once the snow stops and things dry up here, I'll set it up and make sure everything is good.
  6. @madPete Do you recall what size canvas you used? And what are their rough foot prints?
  7. @LadyBarbossa, Excellent! Pyracy is following Cleophas & Cleophas 2.0 - thanks for the suggestion!
  8. I've been spending way too much at the local thrift stores lately and have a source for (thick) cotton panels - just let me know what size I should make them... I assume that will depend on stamp/block print size and number of times to be printed. In the end I think it would be cool to frame and hang on the wall. I agree on the number of participants. Currently there's only seems to be the 3 of us, Duchess, Mary D & meself, with a possible 4th, William. And it makes complete sense for individuals to make all of their prints in one go, for consistency and quality. And you are most welcome to create a block print lesson plan/tutorial!
  9. We purchased a couple boxes of Krusteaz last year, hopefully these are old new stock. With the news that they've changed the recipe, looks like I'll be making them from scratch once the last box is gone.

  13. Exactly! Plus it feeds the usable cloth collection addiction without breaking the bank.
  14. Originally I thought it would be cool to have a square of material, randomly stamped by each artist. But having everyone create a print block within a unifying boarder pattern - that's even better!
  15. Do you have a favorite that you drink when you're home?
  16. I would love to have one of those ship lanterns in brass - the one I ordered is tin.
  17. Very cool, what a great find! I recently found a couple yards of linen, another couple yards of heavy cotton canvas and several Queen size heavy cotton (hospital?) bed sheet/blankets. Spent about $20.00. Now I've got to make stuff.
