  1. Thanks! I like the idea of running it off a 9v battery as opposed to a hand full of AAs. The first thing I want to test is to see how long will it runs off a fresh battery, minutes, hours, days...
  2. Ahoy Everybody, Welcome Jason D. to the Pub!
  3. Wow, these came out/look fantastic.
  4. Speaking of flame LEDs, I just bought a few of these bulbs and 9volt battery connectors. I'm not sure I'll have anything assembled in time of Massacre Island, but we'll see. Amazon Link to Bulbs: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B098DQWS7C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&th=1 This video does a break down and repurposes that I think is applicable.
  5. That came out amazing! So cool! I've got to get my ass back home and do some carvings!
  6. That's a good point, to be honest I don't know for sure. The subject came to my attention when I was talking/bragging about a Georgian period tankard that I usually drank from - the point was made and I've been wondering ever since. I would think that newer/modern tankards would be less of an issue. https://thomasdale.com/latest-news/lead-in-pewter/
  7. Yeah, there are better reasons for not drinking hot coffee or tea out of pewter (or any metal) mugs.... ask any older naive reenactor why, and they will point to their lips and say "ouch". Seriously, for hot beverages, ceramic or wood only. There's also a possibly issue with alcohol leaching lead form pewter too - accumulative.
  8. Thank you 😁. I use to had several regular and lo-height cots that I eventually handed off to my kids for camping. Since they hardly seem to be using them these days, I'll likely theft one back from them.
  9. I've now officially ordered an XL!
  10. I don't have a cot as yet, but it's on the list. I kinda finished my short mattress bag - had to remove the partial seams at the bottom. I added a squareish piece foam that's turned out to be a mattress topper - not sure how well it'll actually work.
  11. Fantastic! In my recent thriftings, I've only found a single (damaged) tankard - good job.
  12. So how does someone go about buying one of these most excellent pirate shirts?
  13. I'm not likely doing anything larger than a single 4"x4".
  14. A lot of our newer images are pretty hi-res, at least by early 2000 internut standards, but I don't think that's the cause - otherwise you would have had a problem earlier. I hate intermittent internut issues... If anyone experiences lag or slow load times, please chime in and let us know.
  15. It's Mission's fault...or maybe William's - I can't remember.
  16. Solid shampoo bars - what a great idea, I hadn't thought about that.
