  1. Since the (ahem) "villian in the book On Stranger Tides is Blackbeard, I relish the possibility of Barbossa *and* Neddy Teach going head to head at each other...

How's bout...Both Barbossa and Sparrow against Teach...He was rather formidable and B & S could play off each-other as always....

  2. My favorite was made by Robert Shaw in, I believe,Cuthroat Island......."Gentleman, I'm not a Gentleman, I'm an Irish Man...."

I think that was Swashbuckler. Good movie in a bad movie sort of way.

I stand Corrected....Thankee Sir...Yes bad movie, but still an excellent line

  3. Well.....Thar ya go......we're colonists that should survive and maybe be able to repair the ship as well as make sure the colony survives/

See the details on your performance below.

It's sad to say, but many of your colonists probably won't survive their first winter in the New World. While some of your decisions regarding their health and welfare have been effective, the members of your Company are in desperately weakened states of health. The backbreaking labor of starting a new colony combined with the coming difficult winter will undoubtedly be the end of many of them.

Your Company is a bit fearful of what the future may hold. More than a few of your colonists doubt your decision-making abilities. You will need to strengthen your leadership and raise your Company's spirits if your colony is to succeed.

Your careful rationing and thoughtful decisions will serve your colony well. You have arrived in the New World with a limited but sufficient storehouse of supplies. Your Company will be able to build homes, plant crops, and trade with Indians until the next ship of colonists arrives.

Your ship is a wreck, and it will require major repairs before making the return trip to England. Forget about any additional colonists ever showing up; if the crew leaves, they will smear your name -- and your colony's name -- throughout England. Count yourself lucky that the crew did not throw you overboard in the middle of the North Atlantic.

Your supplies are not as robust as they could be, but your Company is in decent shape. During your voyage, you made some rash decisions, and wasted some valuable supplies in the process. You will need to be more prudent in the future, or it will spell certain disaster for your colony.

  4. callenish gunner i love what you said to him on youtube its people like him that are going to cause harm to other people and put us responsible black powder enthusiast in a bind when we have to defend our passion and or hobby to the powers that be when a serious action happens..

Ron White was right..."God protects the STUPID......That cannon doesn't even look to be a real cannon....Packed as many times and as hard as it was....It's a freakin' miracle anybody present is still alive... We need to do a youtube on proper procedure so these idiots don't kill an innocent bystander....

  8. Well the buttons arrived after I left for Ojai, but due to an unexpected passing I had to return home Friday night... I gotta say I am very impressed with the quality. They are very light weight, and that really counts on a justa corps or early 18 century weskit. Service was fast, painless, and very friendly...Thanks Pirate's Plunder... I'll be back for more of yer different styles.....Have ya ever thought about making 2 sided coins? I used to give them out to children, but my supplier just got rediculously expensive...

Oops I forgot... Thanks for the free gift.....

  14. I have an onion type bottle Meyers put out that I use for "all-sorts" like that. As you say, it gets "interesting" to say the least. I want to glue a hand-written label on it that says "Straynge Brewe." (kill what's inside of you!) :D

    Bo

    Aye....goode label that....

  15. Lord Have Mercy....You actually take enough time ta taste Rum.. I always figured it ta be purely medicinal, and as such, should be drank with ultimate fervor and expedience. It's wat ya drink so the water don't kill ya.....Next ye'll be tellin' us cigars taste good....As fer me, give me Rum as quick and stiff as it can be, and smoke out the 12 pounders. and make sure they both keep comin..........

  16. Ordered several items meself over the last 20 yrs. Never had any problem at all.Shirts, slops fit the way they should. Nice coat Tavern looking nicer each time I see it as well...Huzzah

  18. I do some small things like this, that are simple, by request at times. Poor Callenish has been waiting forever for me to get some lantern holders done, but in my defense, the task is more daunting than a simple worm. It is a part-time hobby, and I don't work the forge for profit, (just therapy/entertainment and knowledge), but these don't take long, so if you needed one, I would try to knock one out between study sessions as I am back in school for the semester and time is a precious commodity around here!

    Bo

Aye... I just made me first attemp at wormonology., and my sizing method was quite primitive and uncontrollable...I missed me bore diameter by 1/8 of an inch...Good practice, but not near as pretty as yours....I would honestly be interested in purchasing some of your work if I can afford it. I'd need two right-handers if yer interested.... My work just isn't anywhere near yer quality....I have to admit I'm still honing my Smitty skills, but would be proud to have something that nice to use on the Twins till I can get that good...

If ya want ta email me direct my address is troller1775@sbcglobal.net.....Again excellent work....Iron Hand

  19. P.S. : I made it on left-hand twist pattern instead of right. If thats a problem, let me know and i'll make a right-hand twist instead.

    Bo

Just a silly question. Cap'n Bo, are you making these for sale? You've done a beautiful job. I've ne'er seen smaller-bore worms as this for sale....
