was that for Tent Only?...poles or Fly??

Tents only.... I'd include the poles if ya wanna pick em up here in California. It's cheaper to make new ones than ship em....Fly not included except the Baker's Tent has a 7x10 awning built on it....

  5. My slops arrived this week. I love them. The fit and construction is first rate. I loved them so much that I commissioned Mr. McMac to make a a couple other garments.

    -Scott (aka. j8ksdad)

Good That....Liam be a fine tailor and be workin' ta make a profession doin' what he likes.....I guess I gotta send him some measurements meself....See how he does on Porky Pyrates......Nice work Liam....

  6. Black Mandarin:

    + Jarritos Mandarin Soda

    + Goslings Black Seal Rum

    + Orgeat Syrup

    + Bitters

Served in a tall glass over ice, preferably with a long skewer of fruit, a sprig of mint, and an umbrella.

Optional: float a melon ball size scoop of sherbet atop.

Sangria Baby.....But thinkin' bout a Hot Buttered Rum ta sooth my achin' throat....

  7. I have watched up to Epi 3 and wow...I am hooked! There are folks

on the Starz message boards ripping it because of the nudity, sex and

language ...what did they expect for the Roman era.... I love it

and enjoy the show for what it is a..trully fun romp!

Well, if they don't want to know how it really was....They shouldn't watch it...Or at least read the rating legend at the beginning of the show...I get so tired of people whining about nudity, especially when they sit and watch every inch of it literally, and then complain about how disgusting it was...I really like watching shows that depict life the way it really was. Infact this is probably tame, if truth be told....

  8. If the Queen anne pistol appeared on your door step, would this mean that your crazy ex girlfriend would be holding the said pistol? hahaha..Close your blinds!!

Cape Gun, Cape Gun.....But if it showed up on my porch, she'd probably be holding it. I wouldn't be able to enjoy the weapon either. Ya see... I'd have ta kill her....And they don't allow weapons in prison....But God....That was a pretty weapon....Kenneth bein' from the south valley ye might of heard of her maker...Paul Tidwell... He lived in B'field before movin' to Oklahoma... Hellava gunsmith and craftsman....

  9. I say we plan a raid on the pawn shop.... all show up armed and ask the guys to point out the real guns... you know...put 'em on the spot as it were.

    funny show by the way

Good Idea That,McMac.....Maybe they'll drop some duckets just ta have us show up enmass...I got the time if they got the dime....I want that coachgun...

  10. They had this guy walked in with a Tower pistol, got all excited cause they thought it was authentic. The 'expert' had to tell him it was an India copy, like Loyalist or Middlesex sell.

Outside the store the guy was pissed, thought he was gonna fling the pistol to the cement.

Nope...That wasn't even that good quality... I knew that gun the minute he set it down on the counter....It was one of those worthless Japenese Tower pistols from the seventies we've seen on these forums before. It was funny how mad he was that he'd been screwed by an "Antique Dealer".I think he said he'd paid $750 for it and his wife told him he was an idiot.....Here's yer sign( I mean the guy who owned the gun)

  11. Yeah that double barrel capegun was awesome. They've had Blunderbusses and lots of great weapons. I have to say though, that ships bell was a Dutch East India bell dated 1602. They're " Expert" said is was off a Spanish Galleon.......No Way an East India Ships bell would have been off a Spanish Galleon. Am I Right guys? Never heard of even Pyrates stealin' ship's bells. Another thing, Their" Gun Experts" have a tendency to look down gun barrels to see if they're loaded. I mean, Dumb, and Dumber.....Use yer ramrod, save yer head.....But I love the show, wish I could run into the gun peddlers outside, I'd have me a hellacious gun collection already.

  12. And a fine one she looks ta be....I have sailed The Swift into Catalina Harbor at the helm. Worked the Spanker on the Lady Washington outa Morro Bay. And tended Jib on The Royalist in Francisco Bay. I have my own 21 footer I sail at Huntington Lake along with my friends Thistle. Ya might say I'm the reason the Roger is again flying on that lake.

  13. Travail gentil, mate!

    Hey.... my cap'n started it

    hahaha

the French have their uses... one of our crew by the name of Whitebeard is a Frenchman.

By Whitebeard ya mean Weezer, or ya callin' me Whitebeard. If the latter be the case...I'm not French...I don't care what me wife says....I'm not French...But them socks are.....Haaaarrrrrrrrrr.

  14. Just ran across that site last night....http://www.muzzleloaderbuilderssupply.com...

Nice components they offer as well....Pricey...but....If yer an acomplished gun maker, ya can make a beauty ta fit yer personal needs. Quality locks and barrels...That's what makes a good gun. I would guess their completed guns to average in the 7-800. dollar range. I haven't inquired yet on finished guns but I think my next personal gun will be one of their kits......I've never had any issues with all the guns I've purchased from Middlesex...Just put the right size flint in and yer firing. The Murdochs have a really heavy mainspring creating a hellish trigger pull, but that was my only issue with any of their guns....I don't even mess with mainsprings....I'd leave that to the more qualified amongst us like Cascabel and Callenish.... I won't buy Spanish or Japanese...Period...in regards to guns......I do like Pedersoli's Queen Annes and Bessies but, like Patrick says it all depends on what ya can afford ta spend and how much ya wanna mess with em,or somethin' like that...One time I traded a buffalo robe for a cusom built left handed Queen Anne cape gun, 20 ga., made special for my ex psycho-alchohlic girlfrind...God what a beauty....The gun not the girl....Wish I stil had the gun....One of a kind, handmade lock, stock, and barrel....Light as a feather....God only knows what happened to it...Barrel is marked "Tidwell"....Oh well....

  15. LOL... afraid? Dogge? You afraid? NAWWWWW!

Hmm... if I make it to PiP this year, maybe I'll try for this Walk the Plank thing. I knew there was a reason why I practiced as the pool every day on the high and low dives walkin' the plank.

    ~Lady B

Tell me I'm just Blind...But just today I saw a TV program called Freakiest Festivals....There was Maddoge walkin' the plank and about a 5 min. section on PIP this year.....Pretty interesting....Has anybody else seen it?

  16. I don't know if someone has posted this already, if they have please delete my post. I don't know if some of you already knew about this from going to Comic Con. It seems they had a panel there with some of the folks that are producing it or acting in it (saw some clips on youtube). Anyway I was checking Acuweather.com for the CA weather for our 5 day rainstorms and there was an ad on the side about this new show. Well I went to the Stars website specifically for this new show..and they had Episode 1 posted...I watched it and WOW IT IS FANTASTIC. Done in the style of The 300, but much much better, and I liked The 300 and own the DVD. I cannot wait for episode 2.

    Anyone seen any of it?

Wow.....Just saw it last night on STARZ.The slowmo blood is a little korny, but what a series. I too can't wait for the next episode. I think I'll watch again tonight just cause it's that good, and Spartacus was my first Historic Hero....Too bad they didn't show more of TriReem they were taken to Cadua aboard,I mean below decks.....I give it 2 snaps up!

  17. The lighting is a bit dim but I make up for it with flair... note the groovy stockings hahaha

the slops are all drawstring with a (1) button fly for convenience. The doublet is a simple doublet of my own design to be worn open for warmer weather but I am working on a light wool, Elizabethan doublet with ribbon stripes.

Liam.....We gotta get ye some decent Stockings, them French ones just aint workin' for Ye....

  18. Middlesex Valley Trading has a proper English doglock

    PDOG_right.JPG

Understood about the light and the smell, it's a complaint that goes back to the 15th century. The very fact that they complain about it though, to me, indicates that they must be using matchlocks or it would not be an issue.

    Hawkyns

This is a beautiful weapon, but be warned it is about 30" OL...I purchased one and being short in stature it had the feel of a blunderbuss.....I gave it to a friend that was 6'5". Great gun but not for short people. Just sayin'.

  19. Well there ya go...I bet that teacher didn't even have any credentials.....And I mean no disrespect to any of you real teachers out there.

I remember when I was a wee lad, we had to take a gun safety course afore we could get a hunting license. Now I hate rules & regs just as much, if not more, than the next guy....But.....Maybe people should have to take somekind of safety course afore they can buy powder.....Na, nevermind, too much government involvement....That won't work....Go back to sleep Iron Hand....Rest asured that the idiots in this world will eventially kill themselves off... Too bad too many innocents will suffer in the process...

  20. I see Dark Clouds on the Horizon, and Dangerous Seas a comin'. In this uncertain world, there's plenty scalwags waitin' ta pounce on any opportunity ta mess with us....It's been stated on this forum several times before, No matter who they blame for this accident, We've all got to be as absolutely safety consciense as possible. No room for errors.... If there's any possible projectile involved.....Get it and everybody outa harm's way....Be Safe......Be Sane.....Survive...... We're dealin' with weapons that can possibly kill, in the wrong hands.....We have to keep them all out of the wrong hands, and the wrong hands away from potentially dangerous weapons.....

  21. Lord, I lift ye Brennan, our young friend in need......Help him to win this battle he wages daily. Let him dawn all your Holy Armour and protect him from all that is evil in this world... Let him be victorious in your's and God's Name......Let him soar as an eagle in your Glory.....Amen....
