  1. My mom said the same thing -- that it didn't say the line for the sake of the kids... but Smilin' Jack comes with a rum bottle (and it is even described as such on the packaging.) That's what you'd call ironic, I suppose.
  2. Hmm, I learned long ago that there is more to a good meal than summer sausage, but I'm sure I can find something to do with it.
  3. Oh, absolutely. My only drawback seems to be cooking for an entire crew and winding up with a whole voyage worth of leftovers. That can also be frightening, I suppose.
  4. I like the teeth... but I suppose given the choice between two items my fate is always to choose the cheesier of the two! I am really happy with the phrases though... but how come neither of them says "Why's the rum gone?"
  5. Always happy to oblige, Captain! Perhaps I should also mention I'm an excellent cook... maybe Nigel simply needs some lessons?
  6. Ooooh, actually it seems they have an almost completely different set of phrases. Smilin Jack says: I'm Captain Jack Sparrow, savvy? You seem somewhat familiar. Have I threatened you before? Not all treasure is silver & gold, mate. Me, I'm dishonest. And a dishonest man who can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. Welcome to the Caribbean, love. On deck you scabrous dogs...[etc, etc]..bring me that horizon. Now I'm tempted to get Serious Jack as well, but as it is Smilin Jack doesn't have a place to fit into my room... maybe if they make too many and I can find it discounted after Christmas... Anyway, THANKS for posting the dialogue!
  7. I suppose you could order it online as a last resort. It's really worth having.
  8. Well, the Disney Store closest to me told me they were out. They said I should keep checking when they'll get in some more. When I was last at Disneyland, this past Halloween, I found them there. I actually was not impressed with the way they look. Oh, well. Next time I wear my Alice in Wonderland costume I'll wear a sign for those who can't figure out who I am. "I am Alice in Wonderland! Not Dorothy, not Snow White and not Little Bo Beep, but Alice!" Sheesh! lol! They did some "large beanie style" ones at WDW that weren't very good, I agree, but a few years back TDS had nice ones. They change merchandise so fast that if you don't grab something when you see it, its gone. Maybe you can find one of the old ones on ebay. I have a Victorian style Cheshire cat pillow that's actually blue instead of pink. Since its non-Disney it would probably only make your costume more confusing. But just to get the thread back on topic, I'll add that the Talking Jack Sparrows are gorgeous and worth the wait for those of you who have to wait. Otherwise I know they're in Spencers and Suncoast. Seen them at both.
  9. Cheshire cat plushies have been available at both TDS and WDW.
  10. Found this today, a preorder for the figures (Jack, Will, Barbossa, Skeleton set): http://www.johns-toys-store.com/store/prod...aitem=1&mitem=2
  11. Mine is precariously balanced on top of my computer after having taken a not so graceful dive from the first place I attempted to balance him. No room for it either, but I couldn't resist, mate. I liked Smilin' Jack since you can see the gold teeth, heh.
  12. Fabulous! Thank you! I might have been to your site once or twice already.
  13. Ohh, when is Pirate Soul opening, exactly?!
  14. I just picked up the Smilin' Jack figure tonight and was impressed at the number of lines from the movie he says (even if its not actually Johnny Depp, it sounds just like him) ...does anyone have the Serious Jack figure, and would ye be so kind to post here what lines he says, so I can decide how badly I need two of these things or if I can be content with the one I have...?
  15. Hmm, but looking at the picture I'm not sure it was the same one. Oh well. It was only one in a long string of places we were that night, I believe. At least, from what I can remember!
  16. Of course, I looked at the website *after* I posted, and I think you're right.
  17. Wait, Skot, was 801 that bar we were in sometime on Friday night for like two minutes, the one where we saw that guy with his wife, the one with the...errr... belt? No, maybe that was the Bourbon Street Pub?
  18. I saw TBM in at least five different bars. *shudder* He groped me at the Tea Dance, so anyone who wants to shoot him... *smirk*
  19. 82! I can see snow out my window... At least I'll be back in your neck of the woods in January, then on to the Caribbean. And then after that...it's just a matter of waiting for the opportune moment.
  20. I certainly learned me lesson on what pirates wear in Florida in December, which is not what pirates wear in Massachusetts in September or October. At least, that was my excuse for all the shopping I did. And now, having a suitable Floridian pirate wardrobe, I have no choice but to move there.
  21. Oh, that's pretty, but it wouldn't fit over my assets. Bet it would look good on Merrydeath, though!
  22. Thanks! The rest are going up today. I looked at yours, too... wonderful! I hope I get to be there next year as well!!
  23. I posted some of my PiP photos here: http://www.pirates.admiralsarms.com/ The pirate photos are up, the ones of beautiful Key West will be up soon.
