  1. I definitely agree with the concept of making an example of at least a few of them. Might make the others think twice...
  2. ^ Snuggling and fireplace. < Two hours, 45 mins until freedom! V Fancy dessert that you haven't tried making yet?
  3. ^ Next reinactment-type event for me will be the Queen Bess and the pirate faire located in Fresno in early May. < Found some lovely green fabric for my St. Patrick's accessories. V Tea or coffee?
  4. Sounds cool - do you have pics of this room?
  5. ^ Most of my daily life. I have my moments, but I'm predominantly a pragmatist. < Got to make myself something green for a couple of St. Patrick's day gigs. V Justice or mercy?
  6. ^ Yes - several types of dancing (ballet, ballroom, etc.) scuba diving (required if you really want to take up the hobby), archery, swordfighting, theatrical swordfighting, dressage, swimming (as a small child, through the local Red Cross), gymnastics (also as a small child, before I got too tall) - I'm sure there are more but none come to mind. < I'm still trying to get Jack to ballroom dance - the waltz at least. V What's your favorite physical hobby? (That you can do in public, that is...)
  7. In local stores, they had cardboard displays with the various POTC M&M's in them. The pearl ones showed up first, then the others. But they didn't have any large signage or some such thing.
  8. Oh yeah - I've had those. I like the skulls particularly. There was a series of POTC M&M's if memory serves, in various colours and packaging.
  9. By "fun sized" do you mean that in the candy bar sense?
  10. ^ There are a few songs, but I can't resist either "Higher Ground" by Stevie Wonder or "Caravan" by Van Morrison. < Halloween decorating is a bit redundant at my house, too. V Ever scared a small child when in garb?
  11. I started a tradition at local events where my pirate group stays over. I fill a pinata (usually that treasure chest one) with those miniature bottles of rum and chocolates. It's become mighty popular! So if you plan on staying after hours to party, it makes for a great party favor.
  12. ^ Lots of scars, but no broken bones. < Haven't figured out what to do for Valentine's Day yet - but definitely won't fight the crowds going out to dinner... V Interesting scars?
  13. It's even out on DVD. Jack ordered it and we've already seen it a few times.
  14. Just finished that one myself! I'm reading The Emancipator's Wife by Barbara Hambly. She does incredible historical novels - researches like mad to get the details right.
  15. ^ Oh sure - even had one join us in a parade. And I've met folks at events we've been paid for who ended up joining. < CJS?? V How would your significant other react to a pirate-themed wedding? (Since we ventured into those waters...)
  16. Hops - there's nothing like standing in a field of hops with a pint of beer.
  17. ^ If you mean the U.S. capital, then yes. Besides the monuments, I really liked the Einstein statue outside of the National Academy of Sciences. < Getting ready to scare the bejesus out of a bunch of cub scouts. MWAAHAAHAAHAAHAA! V Ever been to another nation's capital?
  18. I don't usually name my vehicles. Jack does, though - every one of his cars has had a name. When I still had my S-10 pickup, he named it "Armstrong" because it was so hard to steer (no power steering, relatively large vehicle - you get the picture...) He has yet to come up with a name that has stuck for my Saturn sedan, though.
