  1. I've was inspired to add more structure to my workouts. I've already been race walking five days a week and was doing some work with weights, but have now structured them more consistently into my schedule.
  2. They are skinny - no fat typically means no boobs. All those models and actresses buying fake boobs are giving folks an skewed view of what women really look like. If someone is 5'10" tall and weigh 110 pounds, the odds are against them having large breasts that you can hang your coat on.
  3. Yes. I've only been here since September, but if this is what I can expect in the way of support, it's not worth it to stay.
  4. I'm at the end of my rope with my job. One of the reasons I accepted the job was because of my boss and he left, so it's definitely gone downhill. Yesterday, a customer sent a histrionic two-page ranting letter to our CEO. Seems the answer I gave her with regards to a particular function of our software wasn't what she wanted to hear, so she lashed out in a big way. Also complained about the support she got, although I don't think three e-mails and two calls over the course of four days could be construed as neglect. Instead of saying good riddance to a horrible customer who would bitch and moan even if she was handed everything she wanted on a silver platter, he gave her a year's license for free and has basically treated me like a pariah.
  5. Now all we have to do is figure out that "death ray".
  6. It's easy. Sign up for a free account at Photobucket, then upload your photos. Under each of your uploaded photos will be three URL's - copy the bottom one and paste it into your post; it already contains the IMG tags.
  7. I got Sam Bellamy (active 1715-17) English born, traveled to Cape Cod and Florida in search of Spanish treasure. Died in sea storm.
  8. Ours still works. Cracked me up the first time I saw it in action...
  9. I should take a photo of the whole bed. It's one of those tall beds - we have small wooden chests on each side that we use as steps to get into it. And we've since hung some Indonesian skull art on the headboard area and a skull spirit above the bed (basically a skeleton with wings - also Indonesian.) The whole bedroom is draped in dark red curtains and painted dark red in the foyer leading to it. A couple of friends stopped by once who had never seen the bedroom. Bob took one look at it and said, "That's quite a den of iniquity you've got there."
  10. Or do you mean historic pirates? There is a well-known picture of Anne Bonny and Mary Read, both in pants (google them and you'll see many links to that pic.) In fact, it's used as an example of what sailors - male or female - wore at that time. Not sure about the ratio of skirts-pants wearers is here - I think it mostly skews towards skirts. I mostly wear pants, but I sail, fire cannons and fight with swords and axes, so a skirt would get in the way.
  11. Jack's and my bedroom is already done in a sort of New Orleans voodoo motif. You can't see them, but there is a lot of skull art and some ornate wooden chests in the room.
  12. I've found that a typical "pirate" shot of rum is 90 calories... :) And in terms of calories, the range Glamour gives is quite wide. If I ate all of those meals and snacks, I'd be too big for even my fat pants in no time. The idea is excellent in premise, though - eat several small meals rather than just two or three larger ones and don't skip breakfast. Keeps the metabolism revved up. Lots of sites have calculators on them to help you figure what your caloric intake should be given your age, weight and activity level. I calculated the caloric intake for my goal weight and am using that as a guide for how much I should eat.
  13. Hester - the Canadian version is called Cold Formula. It's made by Traditional Medicinals, the same company that does Gypsy Cold Care. It looks like the same product in different packaging.
  14. Rumba - try Gypsy Cold Care tea. You can find it in most supermarkets. Works great on colds - I've introduced it to many people and every one of them swears by it now. If drink it right when you're starting to feel sick, you don't get sick. If you're already sick, it not only shortens the duration, but it lessens the symptoms considerably (particularly the coughing.)
  15. All I know is that I have to finish drinking before reading any of your posts so that it won't go out my nose! Where've ya been?
  16. ^ My über-comfortable black boots. < Chinese food for lunch today (umm - dumplings!) V Sweet or salty?
  17. As they say, a good guest knows when to leave... Three would wrap it up nicely and one off-shoot would be a nice bit of icing, but more than that would be way too much.
  18. And how many tranquilizers did you give him?
  19. If I may make a suggestion - Jack's and my first boat was called the Cormorant. That's a pretty good name...
  20. "Rainbow Connection" from The Muppet Movie, I believe. Here's mine: Peeling the skin back from my eyes, I felt surprised that the time on the clock was the time I usually retired to the place where I cleared my head of you; but just for today, I think I'll lie here and dream of you.
  21. Ask me in about a year... (that's about the length of my sewing backlog.)
