Red Seal is indeed made by North Coast Brewery. I've been partaking of that one more recently and it IS a good brew.

    Beer

I must admit to being a beer snob. Got a few favorites: - Pretty much anything from North Coast Brewery (in Fort Bragg, CA - rated one of the top ten microbreweries in the world) but their Pranqster and Rasputin's Russian Stout are my personal favorites (if you like Guinness, you'll LOVE this stout.) - Guinness - Red Stripe (when I was in Jamaica, this constituted many of my calories) - Shaftebury Cream Ale (from western British Columbia - the most drinkable beer I've ever had. Unfortunately, you can only get it in western BC.) - Deschutes Black Butte Porter - Anchor Steam and Anchor Porter - Delirium Tremens Belgian Ale There's a Belgian Ale I haven't tried yet, but it would definitely be a find, particularly for this group. It's called Van Steenberge Piraat Belgian Ale
  3. I know the feeling. I work from 8:30 in the morning until after 8:00 at night and last night I had to take work home with me (no records or anything, but stuff I had to calculate and write.) And my weekends are booked through the rest of the month. It's just a wacky time of year. Rumba - those board members sound like the type of folks that Diego is dealing with. Those kind of folks really need to get over themselves.
  4. The tone, the lack of skill with grammar, punctuation and spelling... they DO seem awfully familiar.
  5. Ciaran - that's great! I'm eagerly awaiting that procedure as well as I have a couple of bad discs in my back and may need surgery in the future. I guess you'll be the pioneer of our group.
  6. Easy - Monty Python's Life of Brian.
  7. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you. I hope this works out!! (And you're braver than me - I HATE needles.)
  8. Considering what you've had to deal with, is it any wonder that something is manifesting itself physically? As someone with a back injury caused by a bad accident, I can tell you from experience that numbness is usually caused by pinched nerves. Do you also feel rundown?
  9. That's a new one for me - doesn't mean it has no merit, though. My theory is that it's a whole bunch of things in conjunction causing this wacky weather. I have a friend just outside of New Orleans, but haven't heard anything (and her family is in Pensacola, so it's not like she could go there to escape.) And what is it about this time of year that makes everything so nuts? Like several other folks on the Pub, I'm being pulled in a million different directions right now and wish I could clone myself. And my better half Jack is going through the same stuff. I work from 8:30 am to after 8:00 at night and when I get home, I have more stuff to do and Jack is just as busy (thank goodness we don't have kids!) We finally collapse around midnight and get up the next day and do it all again. That's what we get for being so reliable and being the people that other folks count on to get things done... We keep promising each other we'll make time for a vacation later this year. We're thinking of spending a week in Maui - any other suggestions?
