  8. I'm afraid I'm too tuckered out to cook today. Today's special is cold cuts and coconuts. Bring on the dancing girls!
  9. (sends everyone out but Christine) Come, lass. I've run a bath in the bronze tub and I've put out the kettle for some alchemy and tea. I'll have the ship's surgeon brought over from the Hammerhead and we'll get to work on this fever. Aye.
  10. St Erasmus (or Elmo), the patron saint of sailors, was a bishop who was martyred around 303 AD. Saint Elmo's Fire is an atmospheric optical phenomena in which a faint blue glow may be seen on the mastheads or rigging of a ship after a storm due to an electrical discharge. It was taken as a sign of St. Elmo's protection from danger. Raise a glass and rub yer feet on the carpet to the Patron Saint of Sea Dogs! The Martyrdom of St. Erasmus...
  11. I have bacon... ...and onions.
  12. Well...I can grill up just about anything.
  13. (drapes a jolly rogers over Jack and heads to the kitchen to start breakfast)
  14. Winfield Cover makes a decent tricorn for around $115. http://winfieldcoverco.com/special.htm
  15. Avoid ebay when buying non-firing replica pistols. You can almost always get them for less by shopping around online. This isn't always the case, but replica pistols are often cheaper through a distributor. Look for sales. Find places that offer clothing and accessories and then be patient. Sales come along all the time. Make as much of your own costume as possible. Then it is both unique and you can brag about creatiing it yourself. Try to buy from other pirates. This helps them sell their goods and it keeps everything in the "family". For instance, this month alone I'm buying items from three different pirates here on the Pub. This helps them continue in their craft and it means that my costume is unique, hand made and one of a kind.
