  1. Glad to see a familiar face from the bygone days. How have you been?

Well good until these last few weeks. Don't really want to go into it here. But lets just say if you all were close by I would love to get together over a coke slurpee or milkshake.

  2. hi all I know I have been away for a looooooong time to be honest I did not think the Pub was still here, but I am glad I was wrong. You can all thank Admiral Kilo for bringing me back. It was because of his reply to some of my poems that brought me here. Alot has happen to me and as I can see to the pub as well! I LIKE IT! Since it is so early in the morn I will not go into detail of my adventures for now. I am glad to be here and hope you are all well. And glad to see me too.

  3. Aww, a sad one. And one that leaves some questions. Did he chase her or just lose her?

He lost her! I just want you to know I am not a depressed person. Most of the poems that you have read here may give of that impression. But I assure you I am not!

  4. Thank you so much for posting your thoughts if you indeed had not I would not have come back. to be honest I thought the pub be dead. I am glad to be proven wrong

  5. Maiden Of The Sea

    James McShane had but one aim;

To find that, which ignites desire's flame.

If only he knew her name…

    Maiden, maiden, of the sea

Come to me, oh come to me.

My heart is full of love for thee.

    Maiden, maiden, of the sea.

So he set sail on the seven,

Upon the month, and well past the hour of eleven.

In search for "that gift from heaven!"

    Maiden, maiden, of the sea

Come to me, oh come to me.

My heart is full of love for thee.

    Maiden, maiden, of the sea.

    With his spyglass he did gaze;

    Through the mist and haze,

He saw her tail slowly raise.

    Maiden, maiden, of the sea

Come to me, oh come to me.

My heart is full of love for thee.

    Maiden, maiden, of the sea.

    Then he glimpsed her face so fair;

While she combed her long auburn hair.

In voice strong he did declare…

    Maiden, maiden, of the sea

Come to me, oh come to me.

My heart is full of love for thee.

    Maiden, maiden, of the sea.

She swam on never to realize,

As his salty tears stung his eyes.

    Unable to hear his cries…

    Maiden, maiden, of the sea

Come to me, oh come to me.

My heart is full of love for thee.

    Maiden, maiden, of the sea.

  6. Legend Of The Compass Rose:

She was beautifully ornate, the kind that would make gentry salivate.

All clamored for her attention, but to none did she give her affection.

None, but one…none, but me… Robert James McGee.

Being the master of the Scorpion, known as the seas greatest champion,

Upon the Spanish Main, did indeed go against her father's grain!

He is a man of cardinal direction, who believes in "sublime perfection."

Thirty-two points he did give, on how "A God fearing man, should live!"

However, in me he saw no such qualities, and despite her pleas…

I was no longer welcome at his door, and was forbidden to see her…forevermore!

So with broken heart in tow, I returned to the sea's ebb and flow.

They say such things in time do fade, those fools know not of what love is made.

For death plucked my beloved Rose, even in this… my love for her, still grows.

Then one moonlit night, my eyes beheld a most radiant sight!

Standing on deck almost froze, was the translucent form of my Rose.

Therewith in doles-id tone, she sang a song we'd both had known.

Of our love…a love so rare…that nothing on earth can compare!

"Let this symbol be a sign, betwixt your heart and mine.

Every chart you course, and map you see, know that you are not that far from me!"

  7. Xavier Quinn

He seems no higher than a grown man's shin
And with malicious grin, he has great pride in…
Tracking down those who pillage, plunder, and relish in sin!
Chances are slim, you'd escape from him!

    East India Company's best man.
Some say he's more like the devil's own right hand.
The Isles of Caiman to the ports of Japan,
He is known by every pirate and courtesan!

A seemingly decent gent, who's speech is most eloquent .
'Tis hard to believe he is so hell bent,
But one look, and it becomes quite evident.
That he desires to rid the world of every malcontent!

Known to bring down men twice his size, with the blaze of Hades in his eyes.
When he does "deal" with those he despise, it begins to crystalize.
One can agree to "compromise" or meet with his own demise!
A word of warning to the wise… Xavier Quinn is "evil" in disguise!
