I don't know why i remember Mutiny with Burt..it's been a long time though, but the movie was great. I liked him as the crimson pirate too, but too flashy. I love the more rugged type pirate like Dawg Brown, Scully and yes...above all...

One or two meaning other women who would gladly do all and everything to be "Barbossa's wench, wife or whatever" in a movie or out of a movie LOL..
-
Uhm and uhm...i think you'd have one or two challenges on that one They've got Barbossa covered eh? Mmm.if i could be a fly on the wall *praying hard he's in POTC 2*..
-
Hm that s*cks, how's sewing going/ I've not seen Captain Blood yet, very hard to come by those old movies, but i'll get it come day. One old movie i love, seen it twice but liked it both times, is Mutiny on the Bounty. Burt Lancaster was awsome!

Did you get lucky enough to meet any of the actors? Sorry if this has been asked before *blush*, i may have missed it. I think Johnny is a sweet guy, from what you can see. It's a petty it's virtually impossible for fans to write to or get replie back from him, i know there's fans out there who are really disapointed. I've nothing to complain about in that dept. Geoffrey is so generous :)

ROTFLMAO, i still feel sick as a dog but i'm glad i dragged myself in here, this is a good one LOLOL.. Well, forgetful or not..the name suits him Thanks for this Bess

Hey LB, nice to see you how are you these days? I love the Goonies, it's hilarious and the end is just beautiful! I think the scenes in the cave with the pirate ship/treasure, and the ship sailing out of the cave beats many serious pirate movies for sure. With serious i mean those old famous movies, this is seen as a youth film, well i think it's one heck of a pirate movie! They've done a great job on that. :)

Everyone, just two posts above quoted is a post of mine about the very same thing WITH a link to the sound recordings of the investor's conference of Disney. First they talk a whole lot of business and then anounce this about the next movie's plot. It's definitely not a rumour, it's legit. :) I didn't find it, someone in a group posted it, and it's the first one that finally was from official sources, makes a nice change to all the rumours on internet indeed :)
-
You're probably right, those kind of "people" usually are

I'm listening to the sound recording of the meeting right now, it's legitimate :) This is so great, finally some news about what we can expect WOOHOOO And again they are saying everybody is back and knowing what Bess said they are trying to schedule our "Capt. Barbossa"in, i am getting a little more hope..i know they're doing their best, that's all you can ask.. Pirates of the Caribbean 2 (2006)

I do too, i'm a mega Disney fan and when i see how the Disneyland park in Paris is made i know that's developed by geniouses, why would a company like Disney need to, and indeed risk to steel idea's? Or anyone working for or with Disney. This is so obviously a form of trying to profit of the succes of this movie..pirate indeed
-
OK, now i know that i'll try and get one of him all over..there should be a shot of him wit all of him in the picture.
-
My thought it this guy is trying to share in the money this great movie is making. Suit: Disney's 'Pirates' Movie Pirated

Alex Norton lands pirate film role posted by Jas, 01/28/05 The Daily Record reports that Taggart star Alex Norton has signed on to Pirates of the Caribbean sequels as Captain Bellamy -------------------------- Taggart star Alex Norton is swapping 'murdurrr' in Maryhill for adventure with Johnny Depp in the Pirates Of The Caribbean sequel. The 55-year-old actor has landed a high-profile part, playing Edinburgh sea captain Sam Bellamy, in the £300million follow-up to the blockbuster. But despite securing the biggest role of his acting career, Alex says he'll be back behind his desk in Maryhill as DCI Matt Burke after filming with Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom, which starts next month. Speaking from his trailer on the Taggart set in Glasgow, Alex said: 'It's safe to say this is about as big as it gets. 'I've only just heard that I got the part of Captain Bellamy. I'm really excited.' Alex, who has starred in Hollywood hits Braveheart, Patriot Games and White Hunter Black Heart, as well as Local Hero and Gregory's Girl, said:'I start filming in Los Angeles next month. 'We then head out to the Caribbean island of St Vincent in June and July. 'But there's no question of this being the end of Taggart for me.' He said his sons Jock, Rory and Jamie are huge fans of the original Pirates blockbuster and are thrilled at his new film role. -- Paul English I just realised something, just putting two and two together, Jerry is known to have said that POTC2 would be the last "Attraction based" movie. I may be wrong but that to me means the third will not have cursed pirates.. Bess said a few days back (THANK YOU I'm happy to know he's atleast in POTC 3) that Barbossa is well written into POTC3... I won't say more, make up yer own minds everyone :) Maybe things have changed and 3 will still be about cursed pirates afterall but i hope it won't be
-
LOL, I've had precisely the same discussion. The first time i saw the extra bit at the end i though of Bootstrap, but then, i feel it's very much to be expected..imo. Somehow it seems logical, to me atleast LOL.
-
I think those on one side and those on other side will always say what they can to try and convince other side, be it unconsciously, but i have always said, and believe it still..in a movie about undead pirates anything and everything can be made credible, and i trust the fine writing of the one who made the first and will make the othe movies. And yes, last summer already me and others were discussing the tag scene and saw Jack the monkey getting cursed again so anything is possible. I'm convident we wíll all be surprised and it will be a pleasent surprise, Barbossa or not (though wíth him it will be a bigger one ) I'll say spoilers if i ever post anything, no problem :) Apologies is i spoiled anything..

LOL...naahhh, just someone who's "Closest to the fire" so to say and more likely to tell the truth then those magazines who just háve to post something to sell.. Mmm don't want that *zipping...*I''ll not post again and wait and see, and i won't go into any debate again as when people see things differently you can go on into eternity but it won't chance anything :) \What can i say... Couldn't agree more, it's hardly a "normal film" in which when someone is dead...he's dead...they started out dead in this one, and who's to say what else can happen. By the way, i have a lot of respect for their work and i never doubted they will do a great job nomather what..never meant to be "inconsiderate"
-
You are totally right, but, we were discussing on and off the Crossing Blades forum that it's driving us all nut to hear yes no maybe maybe not this and that etc etc, and there's no better way to find out if there's any truth to anything then putting it down here before Bess.
-
I don't think you want to do that, medicines, cannot drink it's all Coke for me..good thing i'm nuts to have fun while sober There's a LOT to be said for being single, not in the last place being able to drool over every handsome pirate's pic i want
-
Oh yes they do, this "kid" has been telling everyone who had doubts i believed what you said, but you yourself also said things can change.. It's very very sad he won't be there *depressed BarbossaFan* I'm not over reacting..after all that's happened the last one and half to two years, esp. loosing my mum, POTC and Geoffrey/Barbossa kept me going and i was looking so much forward it, and him coming back..this is a HUGE disapointment! Heck, him returning in 2&3 keeps me going! I'm still going to love seing POTC and i'm glad he's coming back at all, but i hope he'll be back, even for a short while in 2.
-
HUH..i'm lost here..what is it you mean? Anyway, more news on the matter: http://comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=8090 They now say Barbossa comes only in POTC3, i say rumours and keep hoping.. I hópe it's just rumours..

Oh..that makes me think of the movie "White Squall" which i found this week, for only 5 Euro. I bought it and watched it the same evening, and wonderful it is, the ship..the sea, but when they end up in a storm and he tries to get his wife out of the sinking ship..seeing her perfectly alright in a dry cabin (but surrounded by water and the hatch won't open) and has to leave her to sink with the ship to save his own life... My god i'm still a little upset, it was awful and it was a true story too! Poor woman..awful way to go...
