  1. Looks like I've stuck my foot in this one... bowing out now...
  2. Sounds like a repressed feeling of running from one's past. An undiscovered mistake or misdeed that one feels guilty about, and is fearful of it resurfacing. Just a guess. :)
  3. OK, you got me. I've seen abandoned VW's age more gracefully than I. All I can do is quote Indiana Jones: "It ain't the years, sweetheart. It's the mileage."
  4. On a lighter note, my bride and I shall be celebrating our 15th year of matrimony. Our grand plan is to renew our vows through a handfasting at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Once we nail down the date, everyone is invited to join in the festivities! :)
  5. Cleaning out the old mailbox... bills, bills... A summons! *RIP!* Too bad I never got it... Ah! A sword catalogue.... :)
  6. Why do Scotsmen wear kilts and not trousers? Because sheep can hear a zipper a mile away!
  7. Magnificent! That would certainly get me back into taking an afternoon pipe down by the water. :)
  8. I'd like to think that I'm aging rather gracefully, too. That is, the bits that haven't been rebuilt. Or replaced. Or twinge with arthritis...
  9. I hate dolls. And ventriloquist dummies scare the living hell out of me. Damn you, Rod Serling!! Damn you!!
  10. Homemade pizza with red sauce, home-grown button mushrooms, sweet Italian sausage, red bell pepper, lotsa mozzarella cheese, and home-grown sweet basil. :)
  11. Click my banner, and you'll find all manner of "Official Kilt Inspector" ware! :)
  12. I feel about "orbs" and ITC the same way you feel about EVP, Zephaniah. Way too subjective, given filtration and interpretation.
  13. As I've mentioned before, I've been through my own bits of wierdness. Rumba helped me through the last one, and I'm eternally greatful. It's an odd thing, and I never thought it possible given that our house is a new construction; but every now and again I'll catch something out of the corner of my eye. A shape, movement, things like that. Now yes, I know that some of it can be written off to mundane things, such as a trick of the light, imagination, my own hair, things like that. Fortunately, I deal quite a bit with animals. Three cats running about the house, and regular trips to the horse barn. I immediately check the reaction of the animals, since they tend to catch these things better than we do. Jack Jr. is really perceptive. More so than many other cats I've been around. I'll notice something, and I'll turn and catch him crouched down, staring at whatever it is, spirit person or what have you, with totally dialated pupils. I let them know that they need to keep moving, that this is no place to get "stuck", and check what I'm feeling against the cat's reactions. The other two cats will notice something, bristle at it, then come running to Momma or Papa to hide. So it's up to me and the kitten to go see who's knocking about. Kids. What can you do with them? So, think me wierd if you wish. I am Mad Jack, after all...
  14. I've had dreams where I've been in certain historical periods, but rarely ever a TV show. Maybe once, but it was probably canceled after the first episode.
  15. If one wanted to be philosophical about such things, you could call it a... Balzac? :: runs from Rumba! ::
  16. EDIT: Jeez! I can't even stick my tounge out without getting "user posted image"? OK, this'll have to do -
  17. I certain my neighbors think they just witnessed a scene from Steve Martin's "The Jerk". I went to the mailbox, opened it, and found a thick package from "Reconstructing History"! I went running back to the house, shouting "The new patterns are here! The new patterns are here!" OK, I'm a dork. But I'll be a damned stylish dork!
  18. My favorite places here in the Twin Cities are "The Local", "The Claddagh", "Stub and Herbs" (a.k.a. "Sterbs"), and "The Blue Fox".
  19. "The Crafty Maid" is another sure to put smiles on their faces. :)
