We unleashed the Roomba-beasty on my wife's sewing studio. After several minutes of normal operation, we heard what sounded like the machine going through some kind of distress, then shut down with a series of beeps. We walked in to find our youngest cat, Jack Jr., proudly sitting atop the Roomba. Seems his additional weight was enough to disrupt it's operations, and it shut down. Goofy kitties: 1 Advanced Technology: 0

Let's see.... go through another meeting with the poo-flinging ninnies I work with, or get a jellyfish wedgie... Bring on the jellyfish!

My apologies, but the feast is for me wife and her estranged sister. 'Tis a shame, too. The majority of the recipes are from Darina Allen, who runs the world-famous Ballymoe Cookery School in Ireland. The Creme Bruleé recipe is from Emeril Lagase. I'm currently compiling my own cookbook of simple but savoury fare. I'm a firm believer that anyone should be able to prepare a meal for two in under 45 minutes that tastes as good, if not better, than a meal they paid US$35 a plate at a restaraunt. William, you mean you wife wouldn't even like Steamed Cabbage and Sausages with Rosemary and Balsamic Vinegar? For shame!

Well, well... Lucky friggin' us! They've cancelled the Heavy Snow Warning, and issued a Winter Storm Warning. Looks like we'll be getting an inch or so of ice, then 10" of snow on top of that. I feel so fortunate.

I admit it. Last night, the wife and I bought one of those "Roomba" robotic vaccum cleaners. Partly because I don't always have time to help with the housework when hse's feeling up to it, and partly because her MS prevents her from feeling up to it a lot of the time. This thing is a bloody marvel! Very thorough, very well programmed, and far more powerful than I could have ever imagined. The cat's finally realise that no whirling blades nor spiked hammers were going to pop out and chase them round the house, so they're warming up to it. Just turn it loose on a level , and in an hour or so it's done! Even parks itself in it's recharger base when it gets hungry. :)

They've just issued a Heavy Snow Warning - up to 9" by tomorrow morning.

Ace is my 6-year-old half-Arabian show horse. I love to ride and show him, but life is pulling me on to other things. :)

I need to start reading more closely before I reply. :)

Very happy! My trainer's daughter wants to lease Ace for this show season. We're keeping the option to sell him open, and there are at least two interested parties. Either way - it's a win for us! :)
