  1. You HAVE to buy him a tri-corner hat or I'll never forgive you!

I think tri-corne britches be more in order fer now lass. An 'ere be a round on me in honour o' the proud papa. Congradualations Capt'n.

  2. Hunting Hawk! Thankyouthankyouthankyou! D'you know this is about THE best-looking "Jack Sparrow" sword I've seen yet! Looks nearly EXACTLY like it! Although the blood groove should be lower... but I can live with that. And it's so cheap! Thanks for this find, it be a fine cutlass!

    Captain Wolfy Wench

"And I have expected it to be made of wood."

  3. Which Captain Jack Sparrow?

    A just question lass....

We seem to have more then a few here.

Which be the Birthday boy????? B)

It don't matter, I love parties. Drinks all round, I be buyin this one. The biggest tankard fer Jack if ye please.

  4. I were just thinkin' o some o the treasures I 'ave liberated from others an which were me favorites.

Me favorit plunder were a pair o sterling silver, gold plated goblets I obtained from a local antique store fer five dollars. A couple weeks later I were in the store again an the lass runnin' it said she looked em up in her directory an they shoulda sold fer $95 each.

So, what were the most fortuatous find ye 'ave 'ad?

  5. Speaking of pirate toys. I liked the little pond with the island in Hook's cabin from the movie Hook. I wanted to put one in me livin' room an git some ships, but me wife threatened to keelhaul me. ;) Woulda been fun though.

  6. It is indeed a fine looking colors there Hawk. I have my design, I just need to sober up and get it on cloth......I don't believe I just said something about sobering up....shame on me.....

I got the next round.... B)

    Sober up?

*hands perkeo a bar o soap*

Wash yer mouth out lad, an watch yer language here out. B)

  7. After playing the Find the Gold pieces on POTC, you can make a flag with Fortune Red. Mine is with a heart and dagger of course!

Aye lass, I played the game about three times an' e-mailed the flag to me account. Never got it. Can't figger why.

  8. I finally came up with a design I like. I know there is a thread somewhere that every one were postin' there colors, but it musta sunk. An' I can't find it now. So yer all stuck wi' me borin' new thread. :D

  9. Thank ye endkaos, I'll try those methods. Fortunatly I still have a few scraps to do the testing on before attackin' me hat. Now that I think about it, I should 'ave remembered that alcohol makes leather stiff. A lesson I learned 'bout thirty years ago after spillin' me whiskey on me buckskins..... a few times. Still don't understand how it happened, for some odd reason I weren't too steady on me feet an' me grip on me mug weren't too good. ;) Thank ye again lass.

  10. I just finnished sewin' me tricorne an' I don' mean to brag, but it looks mighty perty. It is still a little too floppy though an' I'll 'ave to use somethin' to stiffen 'er with. I'm thinkin' bees wax. Any suggestions?

  11. The current owner's a pretty nice guy and the jazz was great, so I'd hate to move him, but would it ever be cool to open it as a pirate bar again!!!

Now, that doesn't sound like a pirat talkin'. Move the blighter, 'e can find another place fer hiz jazz.

  12. Aye, a knife sheath is always a good idea. A lesson I learnt the hard way. I used to keep me eatin' knife just tucked inta me belt an' I always kept 'er sharp. Then one day I were at a demo at the local Catholic school. I cut me belt in 'alf an' everthing dropped to the floor. Thank God, I were in the head at the time.

  13. Right now I'm workin' on a nice leather tricorne outa some o' the pertiest black suade I seen in awhile. Ye may need to double the thickness to make it stiff enough, but it could work. Other than that, pouches, a vest maybe or trim on some outfit or, if yer really feelin' piraty.....eye patches!

  14. The main reason I wouldn't use suede fer a frog or any sort o' gear that'll be under stress is that ye can't tell which way the grain goes.

You could use a large hook or bent nail, stick it through a corner of the hide an' pull it while ye turn the hide. Ye can tell which way the grain goes, 'course keepin track o' it till yer project is done is another matter.

Thank ye endkaos, they seem to 'ave stores everywhere, 'cept where I am, but that's not surprisen' since there aint much o' anything where I live. I'll remember it tho' if I take a trip to California any time soon.
