Poole celebrates its famous pirate son Harry Paye with a day of pirate themed family fun and entertainment. The day kicks off with the Parade of Pirates at midday followed by muskets and cannon displays. Or try your luck on the traditional Aunt Sally stall! Cannons will be fired on the hour, so cover your ears! There will also be children’s rides, face painting and story telling. Kingston Pirate Festival 2024 We have the best community! After Covid our local businesses and schools have been suffering loss of business and donation support for school programs! Kingston High Schools mascot is the buccaneers! Our town was a stop on the Canadian rum runner tour of spirits during prohibition, so it just made sense to create a pirate festival! Last year was our first year and was very well attended! It is held in Mike Wallace Park at our Port of Kingston and this year our commissioner passed away leaving a huge hole in everyone's hearts! This year we need to do everyone proud making Kingston Pirate Festival bigger and better than last year! We have partnered with Wild Wise outdoor school that teaches k-12 in addition to our great public schools and we would like to raise enough money to give some kids scholarships to attend this great school! Our lineup this year Includes P.O.P.S. Pirates of Puget Sound 55 vendors and 5 bands on stage!!!! Kingston Yaght Club is hosting a rum garden and Tugboat Bromberg will be performing pirate shanties!
