  1. Does anyone know where I can find information concerning papers that would have been carried on a privateers ship? I'm looking for things like insurance, investors notes and the like. Our crew recreates the Queen Ann's War. Any info would be appreciate.

  2. Personally i was considering building one on research of all types of subjects concerning piracy. people, places, things, events and so forth, that we are always looking into and asking about. a lot like the captain twill forum all categorized and so forth for easy research

  3. Honestly I was forced! Several years ago I was running a fan based wrestling website and I had bought some video equipment to record interviews and such with some local workers. Never using It before I brought it to a local Roller Derby match to get some practice in using it.

A guy who worked at the deli across from my work had a girl who was involved. He was very into pirates and their history and always talked about a group he started. He asked me to help tape a library event the following week – once I saw these kids work I was really hooked.

I started a website for them and about a year of following them and videoing their events I finally joined and never looked back. I had a great time watching this group grow into a real organization. This is our biggest year yet doing tours of Newport RI tons of library gigs…

I know some here are from here in Rhode Island, and have a ton of knowledge to share about the area, We’d love to meet you when ever you might be back to visit friends and family, actually that goes for anyone here as well

  4. Only been there twice but by far my favorite place is the White Horse Tavern, http://www.whitehorsetavern.us/ We had our officers meeting there in January and we took the rest of the crew last week. a little pricey so we need to be a little selective when we go... Also big note all you here it was built in 1653 and bought by William Mayes Sr in 1673. he was a very nice man and everyone loved him... enough about him... His son was one of the Pirates named in Kidds commission. when he retired he took over the place. if any of you are in the area definitely check it out.

  5. Bout the same here in RI. My boss and I tried to swith to the electronic cigarette. he succeeded I FAILED. however i do still keep it around. it brings the cost equivalent down to about $30 a carton

  6. Haven't tried it yet, but it sure looks neat! I have tried plumbing solder to cast metal toy soldiers; it works like a charm. Best wishes on your surgery, I hope you will soon be recovered and casting buttons by the thousands!

It gets a little better each day

I started casting again but it is slow going for now.

Still needs more clean up but I got a whole 14 poured
