Really want to go for next year..still picking up steam this year just doing local events for now...next year with some vacation time saved for work and a better kit I am gonna plan on getting to as many of these as possible...Looks like sooooo much fun, and again great pictures by everyone!!

I just use a string of leather tied to the tankards handle, pull the looped string up behind the belt and then feed the tankard through the loop. Let it hang from your belt. This was the cheapest and quickest way IMO to hang from your belt. Although you should not have any reason to put it down unless you have arms in hand or asleep

Sadly enough I will not be able to attend this event this year because I will be working and Uncle Sam wont give me the day off. I really wish I could go and meet all of you in person. I know I dont speak much on here but I am on quite a bit..learning ALOT. I also would love to take a gander at some of the vendor stuff, especially your flintlocks Callenish. I am in the market for one but havent gotten around to getting one yet. Hopefully before PiP (all going well I should be there) I will have one and a good idea on how to fire one (shoot all the time...just not flintlocks). Well I hope the weather fairs well for all of you and you all have a blast. I'll make sure to drink a pint for you all (I dont know about 1 for 1...that could hurt )

That was a good one!! Gonna have to remember that!!! RedJessi- I am jealous, I havent been home in years now...I used to go every summer with the parents until I was about 16...I should go back more often considering 3/4 of my family still lives there and I was born there !!!!

Just curious as to what other pirate crews are attending this event (as I am always). Would be nice to make some plans for a wee bit of trouble

Just wanted to see who if any crews (or individuals) would be attending this and what day(s) they were thinking of going...I think my crew is planning on going on 30 or 31st of May...

My biggest problem is that I dont know of anyone near me that I could swindle into doing that...apparently I need to work on my pirate skills (persuasion). It would save me a heck of a headache trying to get a gun and a sword through security and trying to explain why...NYC TSA...ugh! If anyone happens to know of someone passing near the state of NY that wouldnt mind hauling one more case to PiP for a few coin, please send me a PM so I could "persuade" them to give me a hand if possible.... closer to the dates....there will be a flurry of folk kickin up details...of how and whenn their gittan all thars stuffs there....from hitch hickin to sailin down...and several just UPS there stuff down so its magically down there when they show up Where would you UPS your stuff to? is there a UPS store down there you can get your stuff from? or do you mail to the fort?

Weeeeellllllll.... were not suppose to tie anything to the trees...... So I won't say anything 'bout that........ But there are some 2x2's available for those of us that fly in (they also do American Civil War events at the Fort, and they are poles for that camp).... and if worse comes to worse, we can walk to the hardware store and buy some 2x2's and then just donate them to the Fort....... I think I would probably end up doing that...another idea that I was wondering about was this...more than likely you have a TSA approved case for carrying your sword and pistol...so it must be a pretty lengthy case no? Why not find a way to collapse the poles or use these ones (Tent poles from JAS Townsend) and place them in your gun/sword case? Has anyone done this? Just curious cause I am seriously debating doing that (making my own) and I want to see if anyone would have advice??

We were supposed to do an event near us here in NY, and after talking with the coordinator they wanted us to go weaponless due to the recent news regarding the Somali pirates.....I dont think we will be doing that event at that museum anytime soon
