To all men who read these presents greetings. Be it known that David Hatfield, a.k.a. Davey Dog Crusher (me), has ended his affiliation with the Moody Crewe and now considers himself (myself) a Free Man, beholden to no Ship, Captain or Crew. I'm looking for events to attend in the Chesapeake Bay/Mid-Atlantic region. Check out my gallery and give me a shout if you think I may be fit. Davey

Ahoy there! I am writing to beg for some help. "The Long John Silver Trust, is a registered charity in England. The ultimate ambition of the Trust is to bring a statue of LJS to Bristol, England. A city mentioned in Treasure Island, a city that is said to have inspired Robert Louis Stephenson and the city that is said to be the birthplace of Blackbeard (and Woodes Rogers). As well as trying to raise funds, the Trust is also trying to raise public awareness and prove to the local Council there is public support. Initially, we need people to join a Facebook campaign: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?gid=264802695385 But, we would also be ever so gratefu…

Ahoy Matey's...We be the not-so-pyratical Mulligan Stuuart and his lovely buxom wench, Cheeki Cleavauge. We be realtively new to the world of things pyratical...and stumbled upon this fine site. We are looking for new ways to enter the world of fun-lovin pirates and all that is associated with them. We live in our quiet corner of the world we like to call Blue Lizard Island. It be full of good food...fine (and not so fine) rum and spirits...and the solitude of living our life to the fullest. We so look forward to becoming a part of this world...

Yup, it's that time again. Things to remember: 1. There is no price limit 2. Be sure and get your gift to your person in a timely manner Every year we have 1 or 2 people who slack off and don't get their gifts in the mail until after Christmas and some have never received anything. This really isn't a good way to be a good pirate, so if you're in money straights, please don't sign up for this. 3. Names will be drawn randomly, if you have participated in the past, I may still have your address, if you have moved, give me your new one - PM me for that. 4. The cut off date for participating is November 25 (the day before Thanksgiving) in order for all who wish to part…

The Brigands welcome One-eyed Max Parrot to the crew of Hellion. Aye, some say he be bird-brained, but we argh hoping that he can show us how to shape up and..... fly right! One-eyed Max is an Amazon Yellow Wing BeeBee parrot ( Brotogeris), now 7-1/2 months old. A true pirate souled parrot, all the broto's are known for their boldness, persistence and being totally fearless. Max lives up to that, often bullying around our Jack Russels. And he is all of 8" long. Likes people too, another Broto trait, seeking peoples touch and company. Right now, he gives a wolf whistle and we are teaching him a bit of Beethoven. And training him to perch on a microphone stand!

Hello mates, I've just joined pyracy.com after finding it through a Google Search for Bill Johnston info. A fascinating fellow, he's the only real St. Lawrence River pirate. I've spent several days the last two summers in my kayak trying to locate (with success) some of his old hideouts. I have compiled extensive biographical material on Pirate Bill as part of a historical fiction novel I'm writing. I'm posting that material, plus related info, on a new history blog. Check out http://www.raidersandrebels.com if you have a moment. Cheers

I had an old account on here but for some reason never got my password retrieval in my email so I just made a new account. I didn't post much but plan on changing that now. I'm no expert on pirates but I'm very interested to learn more and like to meet some fellow enthusiasts. It's been forever since I've been on a boat!

Some eight months ago, my wife and I bought some goldfish as an experiment. Basically to see if we could care for them. If we were successful, we planned on buying some more expensive fish. We bought 12 cent feeders, 3 of them. We knew their life expectancy was like, 2 weeks or so. Well, they lasted much longer than 2 weeks. And boy did they grow. I had never considered fish to be interactive pets. I thought they just sit in their tank, you feed them and look at them and that's it. These fish interacted with us. When we walked into the room, they'd come to the front of the tank and wiggle like dogs wagging their tails. If we stuck our fingers in the water, they…
