I go to Google to do some research and low and behold they have a brilliant banner in homage to many of our favorite Authors, Robert Louis Stevenson! Hook Dates are November 6 & 7 Well it seem that the fair city of Port Jefferson, NY has decided to take the plunge and attempt a Pirate Festival with the HMS Bounty. It is in conjunction with the shooting of a reality TV show being filmed in and around Long Island. The premise is how can so many "horrible" things go wrong for this little Ad Agency. Greetings to all! I recently attended my first Pirate Festival (Southern Pirate Festival 2010) and had a blast! I joined up with the Cursed Few, and am stopping in to say hello to all of you. I am working on garb and the like, but could use pointers on language of the time and basics on interacting with children/normal people. Hello Everyone! I'm completely new to the site and somewhat to the world of pyracy. It's something that has always interested me and the fact that I am planning on marrying a pyrate in the near future; I thought I'd better get my act together. He said this was the place to go to get tips and to get an idea on where to start. But to be honest, my pyrate is a bit of a history buff; so to ask him for help, other then the address to this site, is a bit intimidating. I feel a bit lost and overwhelmed on where to begin ; so if anyone is up to help school a complete newbie on where to start I'd appreciate it. Thanks a bunch! L

Hey pirates, 55 year old male and just recently stumbled onto the exciting world of nut cases who "do pirates." To think I have been unaware that there really WAS a place for me all these years! And to have come to it so late in life! I'm originally from Maine but have been marooned in Montreal, Quebec for 7 years. This event is put on by the Columbus Ga Civil war Museum every year. It is shaping up to be a great event this year. The 2nd annual Dead Buccaneers Bash, put on by The Cutthroat Titans, will also be held there during the Festival. It promises to be a fantastic event. Hope to see you there!!
