Christine Posted June 27, 2008 Share Posted June 27, 2008 Ugh, anxiety has been hitting me again, but this time only when I try to sleep. I thought I was over this. I've been pushing aside my stress so I can make it thru each day, but it's coming at me while I sleep. I lay down and I get heaviness in the chest and throat, my mind and heart start to race, I even feel slightly dizzy. I sit up and I feel a little bit better. *shakes head* This is nuts! I've been doing some research on the net and sure enough it's not uncommon to have bad anxiety when trying to sleep. I'm going to see if I can at least get some sleep while sitting up. For some strange reason laying down is where I feel it the worst. I don't know if I can make it til July 1st to see a doctor about this. My new insurance kicks in then.
