El Pirata Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 Pushing the limits means getting out of my comfort zone and giving more when I don't think I have any left.
Rosalinda Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 You are so bad, EP! Well, I ain't voting. And it ain't a turtle. But you will see the whole thing on November 5th. MAYBE. Yes. I did change my socks today.
Rosalinda Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 It ain't no marshmellie, either. But I did use an ocean of blue watercolors in various flavors. And I just changed my socks again since you drew attention to it. Don't wanna give away anything.
Darkmalkin Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 [thinking so hard that smoke pours outa her ears] The fifth of November is Guy Fawkes' Day (gunpowder treason, and plot! Guy Fawkes is traditionally burned in effigy, another FIRE holiday, brought to you be yer friendly neighborhood pyromaniac.) Hmmm. Socks, what's wif the socks? Is it yer toenails ye've painted fer Guy Fawkes' Day? The Pyromaniac Pirate
Rosalinda Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 ARGH !! You might be on to something. The toenails... er, yes, they be painted red like strawberriess... or FIRE *chuckling*
Darkmalkin Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 It ain't no marshmellie, either. But I did use an ocean of blue watercolors in various flavors. I've got it! Ye've made yer sunken living room inta a huge seascape-affair, sculpted in jello, wif goldfish and gummie worms, lil' pirate ships and skulls and sunken treasure and stuff embedded in it! For Guy Fawkes' Day! HOO-HA! Drinks all around! The Pyromaniac Pirate
Rosalinda Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 Damn, you're getting close. I just sent you an e-mail with a sneak peak. And I said MAYBE I'll post it Nov. 5th, and MAYBE NOT.
El Pirata Posted November 3, 2003 Author Posted November 3, 2003 I be makin me treasure map tomorrow fer showin ye how much it be lookin like a turtle. Pushing the limits means getting out of my comfort zone and giving more when I don't think I have any left.
Rosalinda Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 OK. You'll be quite surprised then when you see what it really is.
seaskull Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 Tis a stary gazey pie, of that there`s no doubt, haived off a passing pirate ship`n sinking t` ole Davy Jones` ? Yeay roll on November 5th, got a huge fire planned, lotsa grub, beer, and O`course I`ll be diggin` out any outa date flares n` rocket lines from me ship !!! Yeeha ! Ne jamais essayer d'enseigner un cochon pour chanter.
the Royaliste Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 "Hmmm,".... 'Mutterin' somethin' 'bout fungal effects on wooden ships, and the symbiotic relationship with salt, not fresh, water'............
Stynky Tudor Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 Ahoy Rosalinda, (berp) I love that there new marshmelly avatar of yars, cute I says, (berp) cute.
Rosalinda Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 It's not a chicken, or a stary gazey pie, it's not a marshmellie... and it's not a fungus... sooooooo, everybody just zip it!
seaskull Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 Oh..... Is it Michelangelo focusing his little ninja mind by taking a relaxing scuba diving holiday in the sun ? Ne jamais essayer d'enseigner un cochon pour chanter.
Rosalinda Posted November 3, 2003 Posted November 3, 2003 Seaskull !! You read me like a book, yes you do! But, no, it's not that either. Go play me another song somewhere, and I'll go steal some doubloons down in the city.
Zephyr Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 Oh.....Is it Michelangelo focusing his little ninja mind by taking a relaxing scuba diving holiday in the sun ? Darlin, I thought ye had it there....like a vacation promo a' the islands...sea creatures swimm'n toward the surface, skinny model type with long flowing hair profiled in circle of light (looking nudish to get the guys excited about it)...the peacful-ness of it all attract'n the ladies....school a' marshmellies exhale'n small bubbles as they swim around a Peter Max lime sea turtle....ahhhhhh
seaskull Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 Yeah something like that Zephyr ..... Ne jamais essayer d'enseigner un cochon pour chanter.
Rosalinda Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 No. Not a vacation promo. It's part of a watercolor I've worked on over the last several weeks. For a special thing. 'ats all I'm sayin'.
Capt Grey Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 Well I be lookin' forward ter seein' the whole picture, Rosalinda. Ye be gettin' me curiosity up; and the colors do be pleasin' ter me eye. Captain, we always knew you were a whoopsie. Rumors of my death are entirely premature.
Mad Maudlin McCrumb Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 A pistachio?? "You have a woman's skin, m'lord! I'll wager that hides never been rubbed with salt and flayed off to make stockin's for a pirates best cabin boy!"
Rosalinda Posted November 4, 2003 Posted November 4, 2003 Nope. None of the above. I knew I shouldn't have made an avatar out of it. But the person for whom it was created now has it in his possession. Well, an electronic version anyway. I have the original in my possession, matted n' framed and hanging on the wall in color 36" x 48" and it's bloody gorgeous, if I do say so myself. Maybe you'll see it tomorrow. Maybe not. I'll let the person for whom it was made make that call. ARGH. Art for art's sake an all of that!
