Red-Handed Jill
We had one glorious day this weekend - fortunately, the day we decided to go sailing. I had to post this or I wouldn't believe it myself. I'm wearing a tanktop in February on the bay. Woo hoo! (Of course, it got really cold later and I was as bundled up as could be, but it was wonderful while it lasted...)

Febuary was such nice weather... I started to burn pine neadles and do some yard work..... Then It snowed like ....... heck..... and was cold for a long time afterwards...... Local color.... it can't be Spring untill it snows on the Dogwood blossems.... I'm thinking of duct taping some blossems on some of the danged dogwoods, and then tossing a few handfulls of ice from the freazer on them..... don't know if it will work or not.... but I might give it a try........ jessie k.
It's been in the 40's lately, which is so warm compared to our -10 degrees a couple weeks ago that I was going about in a tank-top yesterday. Cpt Sophia M Eisley
*sends warm, fuzzy blankets, hot cocoa and plenty of rum and goodies to her fellow pyrates up north* Y'all stay safe up there! I felt like I struck gold this week with the weather. It went from 50's (not bad, but bleh with humidity) up to the 80's this weekend, with clounds and a little breeze. Tomorrow's supposed to be warm, with an afternoon t-storm. :) Perhaps we'll meet again under better circumstances. ---(---(@ Dead Men...Tell No Tales. Welcome, Foolish Mortals... Mary Diamond
*sends warm, fuzzy blankets, hot cocoa and plenty of rum and goodies to her fellow pyrates up north* Thanks for the kind thoughts and provisions, Capt. Sophia! Hubby just bought me a bottle of Pyrate XO and a fresh package of Oreos, so I think with that, we will be ok. We're not so far north as Red Cat and Mad Jack, but Chigago is getting nailed with this nasty weather, windy sleet and freezing rain. At least the ice storm is cancelled. I'd rather have snow than this nasty crap. You can shovel snow ~ I hate bustin' through ice! Oooh, shiny!
CrazyCholeBlack
the weather men keep saying we're going to get a winter snow storm. But I'm thinking most of the snow inches are going to miss us like they usually do. North & south of us will get the majority but there is something about our placement along the river valley where stuff skips over us.
