blackjohn
Taking hits, the surgeon hard at work.... Our chyrgeon was shot not long thereafter. We were falling back, and as I turned to call him to join us in retreat, he rose, and upon standing, took a fateful shot to the head. blackjohn
negotiations Also called, "Blackjohn, upon His Arrival in the Land of Bearded Men." "What's this you say, I must grow a beard if I want to do business here? How odd?" Nice shot. Even though the building is later period, it almost fits. Not much else that looks anachronistic. And I must say, I enjoyed Mr March's enthusiasm! That's John Machate of the Baltimore Rangers on the left. And our Mr Balls, aka Le Chat, second from the right. Cheeky Actress
Swing Bridges are great fun. Every event should have one. I fully agree with you Jim! You should have seen my face when I approached the bridge only to find that it had been 'moved' during one of the raids. I almost went swimming! One of the best bits of the day was when Jeff (sorry...don't remember his last name) held the bridge against the Pyrates from taking the women and children. Only to have you and Bob dash over to dry end of the lock (Bob took a very nasty spill in doing so...I hope that he is doing better this morning)...then instead of killing Jeff and taking possession of the toll bridge, Bob paid Jeff a penny to release the bridge and put things right again. Clever boys you all are! Member of "The Forsaken"
kass
Probably Jeff Miller, our gracious host (curator of the Lockhouse) -- older guy in a light brown coat? Bob is feeling his age this morning. "Why oh why didn't I land on the ground instead of that stone wall?!" he's been moaning. One of the BEST bits was when you, Cheeks, took a shot in the back from Marko and went down like a ton of bricks. Hunting costume be damned! It was impressive. Hunting costume be damned! It was impressive. Mr Balls was thrilled! As we were sitting around the fire that night, sharing port and rum and sherry and ale and porter, he said, "after we had captured the women, the one in the hunting frock takes off running. I leveled my musket and shot her in the back as she ran. And she dropped on the spot. You should have seen the looks on the rest of their faces. I've never felt so piratical." Bravo! And I'm sorry to miss your return from dinner, Cheeky. And the rest of your crew as well. I didn't get nearly as much time to talk to you or Rats or any of the others. So here's to doing it again! He was so kind and engaging to all of us. A thank-you letter is in the works...that's for sure! Hey Kass....perhaps if you rub the area in question Bob would feel a tad bit better? It was Marko who shot me? I'll be damned! All I knew is after I punched 'Kirk' I needed to flee. I heard the shot, therefore went down and eat dirt! I wonder if anyone got a shot of me screaming my lungs out when Kirk (Physican/Butcher) approached the women with the HUGE carving knife in hand. Just the size of the knife would put anyone into fits! ...and yes....I will do anything for my craft, Empress! I am an Actress! I didn't get nearly as much time to talk to you or Rats or any of the others. So here's to doing it again! Thank you kindly, Black John. There seemed to be so much to do on Saturday and so little time to partake in conversation. I hope that you enjoyed our brief conversations nonetheless. And I was so looking forward to sitting upon your lap and conversing with you more, but ney it was not in the stars this time. But fear not, Captain…we hope that there will be other wonderful events to look forward to. The crew of the Archangel can only hope that this outing met your group’s expectations of Pyratical fun!
