OL Jack The Pirate Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 has anyone tried to make the pistol holster that blackbeard was wearing

Capt. Sterling Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Any chance of getting the old images posted again? Having done Rev. War cavalry, we put together quite a few pairs of pistols buckets... my dad might still actually have the wooden form for shaping the leather... would love to see the images you guys posted earlier though to see if we would even be close with what was done during the later 18th century... "I being shot through the left cheek, the bullet striking away great part of my upper jaw, and several teeth which dropt down the deck where I fell... I was forced to write what I would say to prevent the loss of blood, and because of the pain I suffered by speaking."~ Woodes Rogers Crewe of the Archangel http://jcsterlingcptarchang.wix.com/creweofthearchangel# http://creweofthearchangel.wordpress.com/
blackjohn Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 I can try figuring out what I may have posted... must've been something on the old comcast account??? Assuming they were not pics of a Whydah holster, they might have been something I put in this article. My Home on the Web The Pirate Brethren Gallery Dreams are the glue that holds reality together.
capnwilliam Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I'm sure Beachem's holster is practical. Never seen any historical evidence for such a holster, though. It's more like a modern slide holster. Capt. William "The fight's not over while there's a shot in the locker!"
