Hester
^ This side of the border, we celebrate the opening of the summer season one week earlier than our Yanqui cousins. Our upcoming long weekend is Victoria Day. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victoria_Day No specific plans for it yet. Might buy some sparklers (as it's also our traditional "fireworks" holiday). < Still hyper from a surfeit of social activity this weekend (well, by my hermit standards anyway) V Favourite holiday and corresponding activity? The Chapman
^ In my humble opinion, getting rid of it; for me, it feels like I've eaten a large lump of cement. The cold toast is a bit mystifying, though. (I know of one Canadian family in which a silver-plated toast rack given as a wedding present by a British relative became a running-joke "regift" that got presented to each newlywed couple in turn, never once leaving its shrink-wrapped box in over 20 years.) CrazyCholeBlack
^ well not directly to me but, the little swab received a very scary, very large, ceramic clown doll for her first christmas. She was a whopping 3 months old at the time. Talk about giving kids coulrophobia < I hid the thing in the garage till I could think of a place to destroy it. V Pass that one along, worst give ever? Ransom
^ Summer! Winters here are wet and long. I like sun, a blooming garden, and hanging out on the deck in the evenings.
