the Royaliste
Crow, naw, we only haul for new bottom paint and repairs, a couple of days, and sail all winter, except when raining..will most likely drop my tops'l and main course yards to the dock, and sail fore and aft rigged, 1812 style, 'cepting nice days or pirate events, then four hours later, they're on again.... the Royaliste
On reflecting, 'twas quite a 'blast'!!. At one point, in tight with the othe ships, we pulled our grappling hook from the deck box and swung it like a pocket watch, admireing the finish on their caprails....smiling...then, another broadside as we came accross their bow! captweaver65
DAMN! those are beautiful! looks like the epitome of piratical fun. AAAARRRRRRRRR!!! Capt Weaver "No man will be a sailor who has contrivance enough to get himself into a jail; for being in a ship is being in a jail, with the chance of being drowned. A man in jail has more room, better food, and commonly better company. " Dr. Samuel Johnson Capt Weaver's Pirate Perversions
the Royaliste
And for the nautical buffs out there :) yes, I am flying the Jolly Roger OVER the U.S. ensign, yes, I am a pirate, and yes, I am amazed that we weren't boarded over it. For political correctness, your ensign should be flown above any other pennants on your mizzen gaff... ..I hear cannon fire..where's the powder??
