Christine Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 Better than Friday and the weekend, but still a little clogged up. Ugh, being sick sucks!
CaptainCiaran Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Friends, I just found out that I have to have hernia surgery first thing tomorrow, Thursday. Been havin' trouble in me lower left side area fer over a month and saw a specialist on Monday. He says it is a hernia and needs attention, so here I go. The technology fer such operations is greatly advanced, so hopefully I will be fully repaired and up and about, albeit slowly, soon. Keep me in yer best thoughts and prayers, please, tomorrow and Friday. I'll try to make a posting over the weekend. CaptainCiaran Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 Just a quick note mates to say the hernia surgery went fine last Thursday. The surgeon actually found two hernias, so I have a nice long incision and meshing. Cannot sit and am very very sore. Good pain medicine though. Thanks for all your good thoughts and prayers. I am mending fine, it is just a very slow process. Hope to be back soon. Love to all, Ciaran I wonder if one of the most important steps on our journey is the one in which we throw away the map. -- Loreena McKennitt My fathers knew of wind and tide, and my blood is maritime. -- Stan Rogers I don't pretend to be captain weird. Sealegs Constance Posted December 13, 2005 Posted December 13, 2005 A bit frazzled. Sealegs Constance I am what I am
Christine Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Wondering why I can't get into the holiday spirit this year. Each year gets worse than the last. I try to, but I'm finding it hard. But it's not just the holidays I'm losing interest in, it's a lot of different things. At least I still keep my friendly, out-going personality. If I lose that then I know I'm gone for good.
Rummy3 Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Maybe you need some mistle toe, Christine. Just ask Scarlet how she does it - she is full of spirit lately!
Mad Matt Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Maybe you need some mistle toe, Christine. Just ask Scarlet how she does it - she is full of spirit lately! "Spirit" or spirits.... Look past all the commercialism and realise what the Christmas season means. Nationwide, law enforcement and mental health clinics deal more with depression and suicides due to perceived pressures of the holiday season. This is the season there should be NO pressures aligned with. For those who may think they have it bad, I just posted in a thread called "Thanks...." that Capt. Morgan started. Marine Corps Christmas is something I make sure to read and post every year. You might get a little eye sweat building up. I do everytime. MERRY CHRISTMAS You will be flogged. And God willing, come morning, you will be flogged some more.
Sealegs Constance Posted December 14, 2005 Posted December 14, 2005 Less frazzled then yesterday. :) Sealegs Constance I am what I am

Christine Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 tired and in a weird mood. Didn't get out of King Kong until 2am, that is one long movie! Very good tho! This was weird, the showing we went to I was the only blonde girl there. There were a few girls, but they either had black or dark brown hair. The guys were all wearing dark clothing, except the guyfriend with me. He was wearing his Starsky and Hutch coat, that white woolen one. That was weird tho, I'm looking around while we waited to get popcorn and there was no blonde chicks anywhere. Guys were just checking me out, weird!
Mad Matt Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 Guys were just checking me out Hellloooooo! Yer a gorgeous pyrate wench! What d'ya expect? You will be flogged. And God willing, come morning, you will be flogged some more.

CaptainCiaran Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 It's nice and it helps. Which is why I come here to escape. My real life be such a mess right now. I'll take any compliment I can get, even if it is thru cyber land. Arr, Christine, love, ye brighten this Pub everytime ye enter it. I be very glad yer here. As fer me, I be very happy to be able to sit again. Continuing to mend after the hernia surgery. It's funny how when ye can't do 'normal' things like cough, sneeze, laugh, sit up, and such fer a week, ye realize how important such little things are.
