(I'd forgotten, but yes, I think the domain's ours also; we just never did anything with it). In any case, there'd be no problem using the name informally for an event. There could be a problem if it were copyrighted. But a word like "Seadogs" or "Seadogges" would probably be held to be a part of the common domain and not subject to copyright: just as you couldn't get "Buccaneers" copyright or trademark protected, or incorporated. There'd have to be a variation on it to make it specific to your group, like "Tampa Bay Buccaneers". Capt. Paisley Posted March 31, 2004 Share Posted March 31, 2004 well doesn't that just suck! ...lol figures...i'm up for camping someplace else or maybe a pub meet. i'd rather not drive 7 hours if i don't have to. a great place for camping and close too is assateague island. rarely crowded there, and if you wanna do the boardwalk thing, ocean city is 10 minutes away. we could camp, garb up and take over oc at night....lol...that would be funnnnn Assateague Island $10 for a 7 day pass $20 per night for camping. bayside or beachfront for those of you not familiar with assateague...it's where a herd of "wild" ponies roam free, even in the campground.
